The Hairy Abe
ABERDEEN College Beauty Salon once again held an annual Hair and Beauty festival. The event that took place on the 25th of November at Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom attracted more than 400 entries. During the festival we took an opportunity to chat with Nicole McManus, a lecturer from Aberdeen College, about hair and their College Salon.
So how does your Salon work? Well, after 2 weeks of their course we let students come here and practice with model heads. And after a month or so they get their first real client. We try to provide the customer with the service he or she requested. But sometimes, due to the subjects that students have to account for, we have to change it. That’s why our Salon is cheaper than normal Beauty parlors.
