GÁBOR TUNYOGI
(October 20, 1978, Székesfehérvár) painter, artist tunyogi@gmail.com 06 70 640 44 56 Gábor Tunyogi graduated from the ceramics class at the Tóparti Gimnázium and Szakközépiskola in Székesfehérvár in 1997. He studied at the House of Freelance, under the supervision of artist Miklós Pinke. In 2010, he graduated as a New Media Graphic artist at the Budapest College of Communication. From 2006 to 2015 he is the graphic artist of the City Gallery - Deák Collection. His art strongly influences the formulation and effect of expressionist painting. With photographic montage technology, he presents unique thought conjugations, while his city plaster impressions associate his personal cognitive structure with multiple re-interpretations and ideas. 3
Exhibitions 1999 ELTE Teacher and Teacher Training Faculty 2003 A Szabadművelődés Háza, Alba Regia Dark Night - In the framework of the Contemporary Art Festival 2017 Ady Bar and Gallery, DECODED MESSAGES “Calm down my heart” In the paintings of Gábor Tunyogi, we can see the buildings of Székesfehérvár. The streets and the houses are with strong contours, with strong areas of light shade. Balancing between subtle color usage and powerful, sometimes gesture-like brush management and accurate painting work exacerbated tension. These paintings are not mere illustrations of the things seen, but expressive of inner complex emotions. The black enamel paint is sometimes watercolorized in delicate transitions, sometimes backtracking and glittering of the spatial structure of buildings. These structures break down and become satirical-like dynamic planes. The dark bright contrast gives wild creeps to the creations.
