LONDON PUBLIC LIBRARY 12 WEEKS CRITIC: LEWIS
Libraries in the 21st century have become less about the physical books they contain but more about the atmospheres inside of them. A place for quiet individual study, a space for a group to work on a presentation, somewhere for the kids to learn while the single dad studies to finish his masters. My library perpetuates this idea. By using shafts to illuminate the center of the building with varied materials to disperse different intensities and varied warmth creating a wide spectrum of atmospheres. With diverse floor heights and a system of ramps creates a mingling of atmospheres allowing for a voyeuristic and an unabridged academic atmosphere to be perpetuated throughout the entire building, the 21st century motive for visiting a modern library.

TROY BREWERY
6 WEEKS CRITIC: MALMSTROM A proposal for a small craft brewery sited in Cincinnati Ohio. This project was required to accommodate all steps of the brewing process as well as areas to enjoy it, taking into the consideration the Over-TheRhine district, which is currently in a revival process. My solution was to utilize the Findlay market by wrapping the building’s exterior beer garden toward the market while formally organizing the interior to allow for the open visual experience of the entire brewing process.

LIVE-WORK-PLAY 8 WEEKS CRITIC: BLOSTEIN
With the Carnegie Music Hall as our precedent for a live-work environment we were charged with designing our own. Bringing together a theater, apartments for the residents, and an existing typical office building as the stump. Interaction was forced among all three types of users by the intrusion of the theater into the stump and surround the theater with the apartments. Views and accessibility to all parts of the building allowed for an experience unlike anything offered by the individual typologies creating a new live-work-play environment.

DOUBLE HOUSE Graphic Environment Experiment Double House was a project set in a suburb of Columbus that was then removed from its site for the purposes of self experimentation with Adobe Photoshop. It was placed in an arbitrary site using Photoshop to change the mood and intrigue of the surround environment.

KINETICOSM 8 weeks Critic: Wilke Keniticosm is a zero-gravity museum for pediatric attachments: surfboard, skate board, ski and rollerblades. The gravitational pull is relative to each individual surface allowing for the visitor to experience each toy in an environment for its intended use. The museum is designed as a mobius strip as a continuing experience leading from each entertainment to the next with little delay.
