BRAND GUIDELINES
WELCO VANCO
OME TO OUVER Vancouver, British Columbia is one of the greenest, most scenic, and peaceful cities in the world. Rolling hills are the backdop to skyscrapers, walking trails meet with busy streets, and our vibrant nightlife is never more than 20 minutes from an endless forest. Here in Vancouver, we like to mix the love for our citywith our love for nature, which is why we are introducing a brand new park experience: the Vancouver Waterway.
The Vancouver Waterway is the world’s first all natural sea-park. Created using a kelp forest barrier, the Waterway is a place for locals and tourists alike to kayak, paddleboard, and enjoy Vancouver’s natural beauty. This book provides information on the treatment of the Waterway brand and all associated collateral.

THE WORLD’S FIRST NATURAL SEA PARK
Key Waterway path Access ramp location
The Vancouver Waterway is the world’s first natural sea park. Made by an organic, high-density barrier of seaweed, known as a kelp forest, the Waterway not only provides easy access to water sports of all kinds, but also provides an important ecosystem to the English Bay. Hop in your kayak and enjoy a ride along 3 kilometers of the beautiful Vancouver coast. Here in Vancouver, nature is never more than a few steps away. Because of this, we wanted to incorporate our city’s fierce love of nature with a functional park that locals and tourists alike can enjoy. The kelp forest dampens the flow of the sea, making the Waterway a perfect place for beginners to enjoy sports such as kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and more. The Waterway can be accessed at 9 ramps along the coast of Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighborhood. You’re never more than 500 meters away from an exit, so there’s no pressure to paddle the entire way. If you don’t own your own equipment but want to join in the fun, check out Vancouver Water Adventures at access point 8 for kayak and paddle board rentals.
