OBJECTIVE

My experience at KGA, Overmyer Architects, The Georgetown Design Group, as well as my study abroad program in Tenjo, Colombia, school enabled me to understand the trials and tribulations of the real world. These experiences affected my understanding of space making and increased my desire to create socially responsive architecture. I have grown to actively pursue social justice and sustainability in design as an avenue to pursue this passion. With this focus, I look forward to working for a firm that values these ideals, and is committed to the creation of beautiful, moving, and meaningful work, as a form of serving the greater good. May 2020 M.A., Concentration in Urban Practice GPA: 3.675 • NAAB Accredited Degree • Independent Architectural Thesis: Nighttime at Meridian Hill Park • Advisor: Prof. Adnan Morshed. d. Site: Washington, D.C. • Topic: The thesis aimed to explore advanced visual technologies and their ability to activate nighttime public spaces, in D.C., a city proven to chronically lack publicly accessible nighttime spaces. Examining how these techologues change our perception of space, transform and enhance our visuality, and create an alternative form of nighttime public spaces

Kostow Greenwood Architects | New York, N.Y. Junior Architectural Designer Aug 2021- Present • Working with a team to design a new office for a public broadcasting network. Responsibilities include drafting and assembling a drawing set under the super of a project manager and in collaboration with contractors, acousticians, and several others. At KGA, I use AutoCAD to produce drawings, Sketchup, V-Ray, Enscape and Photoshop and for 3D modeling and rendering production, and Adobe CS for client presentation work.

Studio CAHS | New York, N.Y. Junior Architect May 2021- Aug 2021 • Studio CAHS is a design, development and architecture firm located in Manhattan. Offered clients an all-in-one package from schematic design, through development and then construction. I prepared architectural drawings and construction documents, managed/ graphically designed presentations and client proposals, selected contractors for hire, and assembled budget proposals, all while working in tandem with the principal architect and my other design associates.

Study Abroad | London, U.K. Spring 2019 Airport Steel Design Competition at Gensler | Prof. Lavinia Pasquina | Jeff Barber | Ariadne Cerritelli • The studio traveled to London, U.K., to work with Gensler’s London Office, a world-renowned international architecture firm. The entirety of the surrounding semester’s project was completed with semiweekly design meetings at Gensler’s Washington, D.C. Office. Study Abroad | Tenjo, Colombia Spring + July 2016 Design Build - Spirit of Place | Prof. Travis Price • Desgined the project during the Spring Semeter, from concept to CD set, and traveled for a month the following summer with CUA and SCAD students, professors, and design professionals for its physical construction. This allowed me to work on the job site and learn invaluable hands-on construction experience.

During my professional career, I utilized creative and artistic problem-solving skills to achieve design objectives. I also undertood the importance of meeting demanding deadlines. Furthermore, I have done extensive work in the service and hospitality industries, which allowed me to develop a strong understanding of how to communicate with both my team and the clients we served.

Overmyer Architects | Washington, D.C. Architectural Intern May 2018- May 2020 • Worked on multiple high end, single family residential projects during all phases of design. Met with clients and contractors on site, drafted bid documents and cost estimates. Assisted with the preparation and physical walk-throughs of permits. Surveyed existing conditions for documentation and drafting. Worked in Microstation, drafting construction documents alongside the lead designer/ architect. Rendered images for clients and marketing using 3D modeling programs and Photoshop. The Georgetown Design Group, (GDG) | Washington, D.C. Architectural Intern May- Aug 2016 + 2017 • Created digital renders for marketing purposes • Assisted with publication graphics using the Adobe Suite Software
