TYPE Bachelor 6th Semester Project - Integrative BIM Studio PROGRAM Travel & Community Center YEAR 2017 AUTHORS Gabriel Elberg LOCATION Neve Ativ TUTORS Architect Dr. Yasha Jacob Grobman Achivments Nominee - Vertical Studio Competition
DESCRIPTION The Community Center program integrates Travel Center facilities and a variety of functions that need to co-exists in the structure. From the start, before the program was fixed, it was understood that the parametric faรงade needs to be able to answer and perform in various ways as the complexity of the building evolves. To perform in a structural and functional manner but also to give new design opportunities and aesthetic values. Based on the research and study of the site, the project claims to set a new anchor at the settlement, Travel Center Integration at a Community Center. Expecting the anchor to perform on the economic level and the social level. On the one hand, to function as a national attractor point to the site. On the other hand, to function as a gathering place, activity center and supply employment opportunities for the local community.

TYPE Bachelor 4th Semester Project PROGRAM Town Planning - City Center Proposal YEAR 2016 AUTHORS Gabriel Elberg, Carmel Merhav, Lihi Schwartzman LOCATION Acre TUTORS Arch. Zhohar Altman, Arch. Hagit Hartuke, Arch. Eitan Eden Achivments Honorable Mention - Vertical Studio Competition DESCRIPTION The area we chose to focus on surrounds Hertzel Blvd. from it’s start point, at the main Train & Bus Stations, up to it’s ending at the sea shore. From our Research we concluded that Acre has no substantial center aside from the Old City. We identified Hertzel Blvd. as a potential axis that can serve different public Functions that will atract activity in neibouring areas. Our project proposes a new urban centre for modern Acre. The main Train & Bus Stations are unified arround a central square that welcomes passengers into the vibrant new Hertzel Blvd. The Blvd. is transformed into a walkable pedestrainised axis passing City Hall and leading to the Culture Plaza near the open sea. The Plaza is surrounded by residential, public, commercial & cultural buildings. An open air Amphitheatre, a new promenade that penetrates into the sea and an intense urban texture all create an intense center for modern Acre that works as a whole with the Old City.

TYPE Beit She’arim International Workshop PROGRAM Archaeology/ National Park YEAR 2017 AUTHORS Gabriel Elberg, Itamar Rozenzaft, Olenka Palomino LOCATION Beit She’arim National Park TUTORS Land Arc. Rona Evyasaf, Arc. Eran Mordohovich Achivments 1st Place in the Workshop Competition DESCRIPTION A 3 days marathon, planning a proposal for the Beit She’arim National Park. The proposal tries to challenge conservatives & familiar ways of visiting & experiencing an Archaeology site. Using the local topography and landscape we seek to give the visitor an holistic experience of the different sites in the park.

TYPE Bachelor 7th Semester Project - One To One PROGRAM Students Dormitories YEAR 2018 AUTHORS Gabriel Elberg, Dor Israeli, Roni Shumni LOCATION Haifa, Hadar TUTORS Arc. Guy Austern Achivments 2nd Place - Vertical Studio Competition
DESCRIPTION The residential housing project is located near the Hadarion building in Hadar, Haifa. The site is determined by two main roads; Blafor St. & Mesada St. The surrounding area of the project opens pedestrians walkways that connect the two streets and provide public open spaces that do not exist today. The project offers a new interpretation to the modular UnitĂŠDe Habitation Dwelling unit Le Corbusier developed. The project uses the steel container as a modular repetitive building block. Combined with geometric manipulations, the building offers a high quality dwelling & effective use of land. The source module is made out of 2 dwelling units which spreads over 3 floors. The entrance is on the medium level. * The studio project was made with the cooperation of the ISRAMARIN Company.

TYPE Parametric furniture design & manufacturing PROGRAM Casual seating system for elementary school YEAR 2017 AUTHORS Gabriel Elberg, Avihay Oz Sambira Nahum, Lihi Schwartzman LOCATION Elementary school Hachva, Wadi Nisnas, Haifa TUTORS Arc. Guy Austern Achivments The project took part in an exhibition at “Beit HaHadrichal DESCRIPTION An informal seating system specified for a teacher and 2-3 kids. The system is placed in the hallway, outside of the classroom, thus, it has 2 states; open & closed for storage. During the design process, It was decided to make the Joints of the furniture visualy prominent for the sake of raising curiosity among the children about the furniture constructive system. size, proportion & weight were made so that children will feel comfortable but also for the system to be heavy and strong enough to survive the school area. The furniture was planned and written in GrassHopper code, enabling mass customisation of the product. The furniture was made for production in a 3 axis CNC maschine.
