Mobility: TOWARDS MOBILITY FOR ALL WITH TOYOTA
As the market continues to experience revolutionary changes brought about by the fast-paced technological landscape, Toyota Motor Philippines sustains its position in the automotive industry with the expansion of its products and services to provide mobility solutions to all segments of the market. Toyota’s efforts are already underway to help shape the future of mobility in the Philippines.
Taking care of the company’s most valuable assets truly makes for an optimum level of satisfaction and efficiency. This is exactly why Toyota launched its own fleet management solution earlier this year. Aiming to assist business owners and operators in managing vehicle assets and optimizing manpower productivity, Toyota’s Fleet Connected Service is the first automotive GPS system designed specifically for Toyota vehicles.
With a connected device that tracks real-time data of fleet vehicles, companies are able to maximize efficiency and ultimately aid in improving business profitability.
Here are some features of this new service from Toyota:
LOCATION TRACKING
Monitor your trip and vehicle location and generate reports as the device transmits information to the G-Fleet system to efficiently manage your fleet operations.
GEOFENCING
Stay updated as the vehicle enters or exits a virtual boundary set up around a geographical location that you have set up in the G-Fleet system.
UNPLUG DETECTION
Be informed when the device experiences unauthorized disconnection.
VEHICLE MILEAGE
Keep track of your vehicle’s mileage through our connected device.
DRIVER BEHAVIOR ALERTS
Monitor and get notified of your driver’s performance during trips.
Aside from these, the service also sends alerts for when the vehicle is exceeding the set speed limit, long drive notifications if the vehicle has been moving for more than 120 minutes, and battery update once it’s near draining.
This offering is made compatible with Toyota’s best-selling fleet vehicles, such as the Vios, Innova, Hiace, Hilux, Fortuner, Avanza, Corolla Altis, Rush, and Wigo models 2016 to present. Toyota is currently developing the Connected Device to be available in all other models soon. In keeping with the Toyota Sure Advantage of Quality, Durability, and Reliability, the device is installed by authorized Toyota dealers for safety and assurance.
More innovative mobility solutions, such as the On-Demand Shuttle (ODS) was already set in motion since 2020 when mobilizing people became a challenge as the pandemic ensued around the world.
To support the mobility needs of the medical front-liners of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Toyota collaborated with SWAT Mobility to initially introduce the ODS system. The system aims to provide safe, comfortable and reliable shuttle services to companies for their employees’ daily commute to and from work. Through a mobile booking application called SWATBiz, the system automates route preparation. streamlines the employees’ seat booking process, and helps in monitoring the shuttle vehicles through its real-time tracking system.
Tailor fit to the operations and meet the specific needs of employees, the ODS system features 2 routing types: dynamic routing for constantly changing work schedules, and fixed routing for definite schedules. To cater to a wide range of users, the app is made available in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei App Gallery.
The PGH use-case proved to be a success as the medical front-liners themselves expressed their satisfaction of the service by providing feedback through the app. This success paved the way for more clients to avail of the service from Toyota.
Whether it’s taking care of your company’s intangible assets such as the employees or taking control of tangible assets such as your very own fleet, Toyota has it covered.
