IDENTITY THEFT CONSULTATION & RESTORATION PROGRAM HOW DOES ID THEFT CONSULTATION & RESTORATION SERVICE WORK? • Create or log in to your account at gfb.org/membership/id-theft.cms to report a recent ID theft. • After gathering some basic information, a thorough assessment of the member’s unique situation will be performed to determine the nature and extent of the identity theft event. • Once a determination has been made that a member’s identity has been stolen, the member is assigned a Personal Recovery Advocate and a case file is opened. • Utilizing a Limited Power of Attorney, the Personal Recovery Advocate will work on the member’s behalf to restore their identity to pre-theft status. • The Personal Recovery Advocate will remain assigned for as long as it takes to restore the member’s identity to pre-theft status.

Georgia Farm Bureau is Georgia’s largest and strongest voluntary agricultural organization with over 250,000 members. It is an independent, non-governmental organization. The membership is composed of members who want Georgia to be agriculturally successful, progressive and prosperous. Formed in 1937 by 50 farmers, Georgia Farm Bureau continues to have a strong grassroots network with 158 county Farm Bureau organizations. Since its inception, the primary, ongoing goal of Farm Bureau is to be a united voice in the legislative arena, to promote farm markets and to provide leadership and assistance to Georgia’s agricultural community. PUBLIC POLICY DEPARTMENT To fulfill our mission and enhance the value of membership, Georgia Farm Bureau is committed to programs that strengthen our support for agriculture, rural Georgia and our members. Farm Bureau programs are an integral part of who we are. COMMODITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE Commodity Advisory Committees represents 20 major commodities produced in Georgia. Advisory committees help develop policy as it relates to specific commodities and issues that affect producer’s livelihood. Committees represent Aquaculture, Beef Cattle, Cotton, Dairy, Direct Marketing/Agritourism, Environmental Horticulture, Equine, Feedgrains/ Soybeans, Forestry, Fruits, Goats and Sheep, Hay, Honeybees, Peanuts, Pecans, Poultry, Swine, Tobacco, Vegetables, and Water.
AGRICULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM Agriculture in the Classroom programs teach children about the sources of their food and fiber and the importance of agriculture in the state, national and international economies. This is done through lesson plans based on state standards, teacher training, and special events. 32
