The Form Forms referes to objects that are 3-dimensional, or have length, width and hight We can find two different types of forms • Geometric forms: Have a specific name associated with them and are tipically man made (Cube, Cylinder, Sphere, cone etc..)

How to create the illusion of forms • Highlight = area where light is hitting the object directly (lightest value of the local color) • Midtone = middle tone value of the local color of the object • Core shadow = area(s) that is shaded on the object (darker value of the local color) • Cast shadows = area(s) that is shaded on a surrounding objects and surfaces because of blocked light (derkest values on the image) • Reflected highlight = area on an object that is lighter because of reflectedlght off the sourrounding objects
