Technology That Protects

New research from MHI confirmed that the Allergen Clear Filter’s unique air purification technology is effective at inactivating SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Researchers at the Japan Textile Products Quality and Technology Center (Q-TEC) inoculated the air purification filter with a viral fluid containing SARS-CoV-2 and left it to rest at 35ºC. One hour later, the virus was found to have been rendered 99.998% inactive.

The Allergen Clear filter is available as an optional item and can be purchased for $15 per piece at KM Marketing Pte Ltd. It is compatible for use with most wall-mounted FCU models currently on sale.

MHI has also introduced its Diamond series of air-conditioning units with several key features, including quiet and long reach airflow, thanks to Jet Air Technology; 3D Auto Technology Vertical and Horizontal, which enables airflow in eight directions for faster and more effective cooling; Clean Air Technology, to inactivate allergens; Fuzzy Auto Operation, to help save energy; and Comfort and Convenience, which allows for high-power operation and silent operation.
