Dear Galileo Families and Community; Today at 9:06 a.m., we had a smoke detector go off in an office at our school. In our quest to keep Galileo a safe and working building, our district was repairing a heater which set off a smoke detector. All staff and scholars were evacuated safely and there was no immediate threat to anyone. Due to fire code regulations, staff and scholars were required to wait outside for 10 minutes while the fire department declared our building safe to re-enter.
