The 26 artists shortlisted by the panel for the Royal Arts Prize, reflect art today, from a wide range of ages and varying cultures. Contemporary in its evocation of a multi-cultural Britain in 2018. Beauty and forms which are valued as artistic expressions of an individual and merit to be appreciated by an audience all fall within the spirit of the award. All the artworks presented in this catalogue are strong, meaningful and refreshing expressions of contemporary art that embody the force driving individuals to express and affirm their personality and ego within today’s modern art landscape. It is my pleasure to present all the artists included in the V. Edition of the Royal Arts Prize 2018. An Award Exhibition open to sculpture, painting, drawing, photography and ceramics which places no restriction on the artist, regarding age, training or nationality. The majority of the artists will be present on the opening evening and thus is an opportunity for all of us to share a moment of understanding and oneness with them and their practice.
