Tom, Harriet &Rolo

DID YOU KNOW....

Dachshunds were originally used to hunt badgers and rabbits. Coat types include smooth hair, long-haired, and wire-haired varieties.Common colours include chocolate, tan, blue, black & tan.

Tom and Harriet Richmond found their new fourlegged companion at ManxSPCA, completing their gang of diminutive canines. Harriet had always wanted a mini-Dachshund and when they got their puppy Philip in November, they quickly realised he would enjoy having another dog around the house, “We were at training classes with Krish from the MSPCA, who mentioned that Phil might get along with Rolo, who had just recently joined them”, she told us.

“We also adopted another mini-Dachshund from the UK and the three of them have formed a cute little sausage dog pack. They definitely thrive having other Dachshunds to play with”. These little fellows are full of energy and entertain the Richmonds by bouncing around wildly. “We love Dachshunds because they think they are big dogs, in tiny little bodies. Rolo has been with us for around 4 months now and he just fitted in straight away”. Here are the facts!

She is 10 years old and is very affectionate, she loves attention and won’t stop purring! Honey would suit a rural, adult-only home as she isn’t quite ready for the big city yet.

BUDDY

Buddy is a 4-year-old Labrador who is full of energy and loves to play. Buddy was re-homed due to no fault of his own and is looking for a quiet home that can give him plenty of exercise. Although Buddy is friendly with dogs off lead, he would prefer a home where he can be the only pet to get all the attention. Buddy is currently on a strict diet as he, like any Labrador, is a big fan of food and came into us overweight – so plenty of play for Buddy!
