Recycle.

Gallery recycles all its storage and packing materials, boxes and any old magazines that are returned. We don’t get that many fortunately. We love to know our readers hang on to previous copies but when they take up too much space, drop them down to the recycling bins. If you want to find out more about recycling - call: 01624 686540.

New beginnings

W

e all love something new don’t we? Either getting something new or starting something new, it feels fresh and different, whether it’s a new toothbrush or a new mindset. It doesn’t really matter where it’s come from or what you call it; brand spanking new, a new you, pre-loved or recycled, it’s still brings that feeling of hope and newness. This month’s cover star, Clara Isaac, from Conister Bank tells us about a brand new recycling initiative that will offer people an option for a kerbside collection. Clara’s enthusiasm for a sustainable future shows that small steps can really make a difference. Our staycation feature, by Annabel Wheeler, on page 18 tells us all about the joys of supporting local and staying local, as well as the unexpected romance of how we have learned to see our own island through new eyes. A visit to Tynwald National Park has reminded her of the beauty of the scenery and the local pub! Look no further than our wedding photographs that symbolise fresh new beginnings, as well as showcasing more of our beautiful scenery. If ear candy is more your thing than a trip to the park or a walk down the aisle, then new business Ella May earrings is one to watch, check out her wares on page 42, or take a detour to page 90 to hear more about purchasing your next car with bitcoin. Yes, you can actually do that! Of course, we know that you, our readers, may also like to delve a bit deeper, give yourselves a bit of an overhaul, start a new chapter from the inside out. Luckily for us, personal trainer and sports nutritionist Martin Malone is on hand on page 80 to help us with our health choices and believes we all have the power to create a new version of ourselves. Our self-worth tips on page 82 may also remind you that, actually, you’re not that bad anyway, if you would just give yourself permission to believe it. See? A new you and a new mindset is just around the corner. You’re welcome! SR
