Two young lover’s hands touch in the dark and romance instantly blossoms. They are torn apart by jealousy, but love brings them together again, only to be separated forever by illness and death. A classic romantic tragedy, La Bohème embraces the splendid and frenzied happiness of being young, and the fiery passion of young love. Set in Paris, the City of Love, the young aspiring artists (The Bohemians) reach for their dreams…but their youthful optimism also has to come to grips with the harsh realities of life and survival. Opera Modesto's production will be directed by Annalisa Winberg and conducted by Maestro Ryan Murray. La Bohème features recent Opera Modesto star, Ashley Bell (Madama Butterfly) as Mimi and tenor Jeremy Brauner as Rodolfo. Katherine Sanford, Robert Balonek, Ben Brady, Edward Tavalin, Ralph Cato and Shawn Soelberg round out the stellar cast. Center Stage Kids will provide the children's chorus.

His mother performed as a dancer and aerialist, while his father was a professional clown, touring “on the road" with shows like Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, and Disney on Parade. At around age 16, Chipper discovered he enjoyed
