BANDA LOS RECODITOS

FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 2024, 7:30 PM

TICKETS FROM $72

A Regional Mexican band from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Banda Los Recoditos’ basic sound is rooted in tradition, adorned with high-register horns, tuba, and rich harmony vocals. They scored their first international hit in 2010 with “Ando Bien Pedo,” after two decades of intermittent activity and limited success.

Since that time, Banda Los Recoditos’ singles and albums have consistently appeared inside the Top 20 on most Latin charts. “Me Está Gustando” (2016) topped the Regional Mexican charts, as did “Los Gustos Que Me Doy” (2017). The video singles from 2019’s “Perfecta” including its title track and No le Hago Falta garnered more than 200 million views each. In 2020, they issued “30 Aniversario,” comprised of 30 tracks recorded across their career. They followed with “Vivir la Vida” in 2021 and the EP “Me Siento a Todo Dar” in 2022.

OKLAHOMA! is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization. www.concordtheatricals.com.

The groundbreaking musical that set the stage for all that followed! Rodgers & Hammerstein’s exuberant classic is a lively, tuneful musical full of cowboys, farmers, romance and fearless optimism.

Their first collaboration remains, in many ways, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most innovative, setting the standards and rules of modern musical theatre. In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly, a charming cowboy, and Laurey, a feisty farm girl, to play out their love story. Their romantic journey, as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road, contrasts with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie and hapless Will Parker in a musical adventure embracing hope, determination and the promise of a new land.

YES Company is presented in partnership by the Gallo Center for the Arts and Stanislaus County Office of Education.
