Do You Suffer from Ennui?

No, it’s not yet another virus variant. Ennui pronounced “an-we” is a French word meaning “a feeling of listlessness and dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement.”

We more commonly call it “Cabin Fever” these days.

As Winter draws to a close, we get anxious to be outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine. When we are cooped up for too long, we suffer from Ennui. We felt it most acutely during periods of quarantine.

Fortunately, there is a simple cure for Ennui, and it doesn’t even require receiving a shot!

While the weather in March and April can vary quite a bit, there are an increasing number of nice days. I recommend taking a nice walk in one of our many beautiful forest preserves, or perhaps a daytrip to a fun location.

Another way to beat Ennui is to get out and tour some beautiful homes. The excitement and anticipation of finding a new home this spring is the perfect elixir, and it’s never to early to become familiar with the market to see what your new “cabin” might look like!

Enjoy taking a virtual tour of many of these fine homes at GoGambino.com. When you’ve found a couple that interest you, give us a call to arrange an in-person visit. You’ll be glad you did!
