Mind sports such as war games or online games like DOTA are classified as sports under Mind Sports South Africa. Steven Heyman Taking Yoga to the Streets
Steven Heyman Taking Yoga to the Streets Although a late starter, having only taken up yoga reasonably late, Steven has breathed new life into the practice in a very short space of time. Originally coming to South Africa to run the local subsidiary of a multi-national company, Steven fell in love with yoga and is today, through his company Yoga Works, one of the most innovative Vinyasa yoga instructors in Johannesburg, and arguably the country.
24
Game On Magazine, June: Issue 29, 2016
Steven is not bound by the stereotypical perceptions of what yoga should be. Instead, he utilises locations such as parks and nature reserves, art galleries, and even stand up paddleboards on city dams, to keep yoga interesting and make it accessible for people from all walks of life.

Andrew Hobson has made history at a school renowned for its sporting achievements. The Grade 12 pupil at Paul Roos Gimnasium was picked to represent the South African Under 21 Men’s Hockey team at the National Senior Men’s Interprovincial Tournament in Randburg during April 2016. Andrew’s achievement set a new milestone for a pupil at Paul Roos specifically in the sport of hockey. Andrew comes from a hockey crazy family and was always going to follow in his parents’ footsteps and play the game that they love. The Stellenbosch-born 18-yearold is a defender who also plays hockey for the Maties team at the University of Stellenbosch. Now that he has cracked the national U/21 side, Andrew will be looking forward to the Junior World Cup from 25 November to 11 December in Delhi later this year.
