Gandtrack Gandtrack Ltd is a market leader in the design and manufacture of specialist cutting tools for the Aerospace and associated industries. Since 1981 we’ve been supplying high quality drills, reamers, routers and countersinks to a variety of specialist markets. We supply high quality tooling for composite cutting applications to specification with a focus on innovation and quality. From our manufacturing site and Head Office in Oldham, Lancashire, UK we design and manufacture cutting tools for distribution to the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, India, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.
Customers Our specialist cutting tools can be used in a wide number of applications and are purchased across a broad range of industries. These include;

Our Aerospace customers include Aircelle, Spirit Aero Systems and BAE Systems. We have created a sustained partnership with these businesses to achieve mutually beneficial long-term relationships. We offer technical support and advice to our customers on tool application and how to get the best from our tools. Gandtrack Ltd also re-grind, re-work and recoat existing cutting tools. As well as doing this for the UK market, we have expanded our business plan to include Gandtrack Asia, which was set up in 2008 to support our services in Malaysia and across Asia.

GT10 – Carbide Tipped Drill
GT16 – Solid Carbide Drills
The carbide tipped drill is most commonly used for drilling carbon fibre-GRP and in some cases the drilling of laminates in aluminium and carbon has been successful, particularly when using controlled feed drill units. The flexibility in the manufacture of carbide tipped drills enables long reach with relatively small diameters.

GT105 – Double Margin Burnishing Drills Solid carbide drill for drilling holes in aluminium / composite materials.
GT38 – Radius Point Drills
Ideal for opening holes in carbon fibre laminates. The four lands of the drill also produce a burnishing effect and stability.
The radius point gives this type of drill an excellent cutting action when opening holes in carbon composites by hand.

GT250 – ‘W’ Point Drills for Kevlar
GT50 – Dagger Drill
GT250 is a specially designed tool for cutting Kevlar. The unique ‘W’ point is designed to reduce fluffing on the edges.
The dagger drill has proved to be the best drill for drilling un backed carbon fibre because of its ability to reduce delamination and at the same time produce a quality sized hole.

Carbide and Ceramic Gauges The wear resisting properties of tungsten carbide, coupled with the ultra fine surface finish achieved by GTâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s unique manufacturing processes are well suited to arduous plug gauge applications where avoidance of a premature gauge wear is a factor. For taperlock gauges a tungsten carbide sleeve, between 5 and 10mm thick is permanently bonded to a hardened steel shank. Wire type gauges are made from solid specially formulated cobalt bonded tungsten carbide. The standard handle colour is magenta for all tungsten carbide gauges but can be changed to suit customer preferences. Special lapping word services are also available for plain cylindrical or flat surfaces in steel, tungsten carbide or ceramic materials. Contact our technical department for further information to discuss your requirements. Although exceptionally wear resistant and hard (1600Hv)., very small diameter gauges made from tungsten carbide can be damaged by careless use. For this reason we recommend using steel (or hard chromium plated steel) gauges for diameters less than 1mm. Standard gauge manufacturers tolerance +0.0025mm on Go and â&#x20AC;&#x201C;0.0025mm on No Go member.

Deep Drilling with Maximizer Top Deep hole drilling applications are typically applications in which the drilling depth is equal to or surpasses 3 times the drill diameter. Deep drilling requires a coating which exhibits a low coefficient of friction (to reduce torque and improve chip evacuation), good toughness and excellent resistance to high temperatures. Maximizer Top has been designed with these properties in mind.
Hard Drilling with PerformDrill When drilling hard materials (especially those of exhibiting a hardness of 50 HRC and above), the key properties required in a coating are abrasion resistance, toughness and excellent sheer strength.
