Battlesworn Line BATTLESWORN - BID FOR VICTORY FANTASY RULES BID FOR VICTORY! BattleSworn is a simple set of rules for fantasy skirmish actions. Using a handful of miniatures in any scale and six-sided dice, two players can bring a game to a conclusion in around one hour. Table size is irrelevant. Distances are determined by terrain and by the position of enemies: no inches, centimetres, or measuring sticks! The ebb-and-flow of initiative is represented by a bidding mechanic. Players bid for initiative, revealing their bids at the same time. The lowest bidder acts first, with as many characters as the number bid. The highest bidder reacts with as many characters as the difference between bids. Combat uses the same mechanic. Combatants roll a number of dice equal to the amount bid. Lower bids are resolved before higher bids. This forces players to take decisions: do I attack fast, sacrificing accuracy and power for speed, or do I let my opponent go first to deal a harder blow later? Characters have no statistics, but are defined by 14 classes (Fighter, Shooter, Sniper, Tank, Brute, Leader, Rogue, Warmage, Sorcerer, Healer, Cavalry, Flyer, Arquebusier, Rabble) each with its special traits. This allows to play with minimal preparation. BattleSworn includes two scenarios, a mini-bestiary, 28 sample forces, 15 spells, guidelines to adapt the rules to other genres, and 11 pages of play examples and FAQs. This is a stand-alone game. No other purchases are necessary. The download includes a spreadsheet to create your force. OF ARMIES AND HORDES This army level wargame uses area movement and abstract maneuvering retaining all the tactical choices and variables required by the genre. Designed for fast, relaxed play among friends. Bookkeeping is minimal. A typical large game requires two hours, including setup. Combat is dramatic. Battle-lines clash into each other. Something happens every turn. Troops die quickly. The rules are non-scale specific. Use any figures in any scale. Use any models you already own, or build dedicated armies. Use any basing system you like: as long as you can count either the heads of models or the number of stands, you can play. Table size is flexible. As long as you can identify enough areas of the battlefield to provide a good game, you can play on a small kitchen table or on a huge wargaming table. The rules are written for fantasy. You can play ancient and medieval battles by removing the fantastical elements, but the rules have little pretension of historical accuracy. There is no SOLO system but the rules are simple enough that a player may play solo by controlling both sides. There are NO ARMY lists in the book, but there is a spreadsheet with over 600 ready-made profiles, and you can create your own. From goblins to wolves to orcs to trolls and dwarves and humans and halflings and undead, we got you covered. By keeping the point system separate from the core rulebook, we will not need new editions if new troops are added. We will update the spreadsheet with new troops as they are created. The download includes a full color PDF of the rules (92 pages), two sample area maps, a letter-sized QRS, an army creation spreadsheet (for OpenOffice), a letter-sized, inksaving version of the core rules with all images removed condensed to 32 pages. ● Type: Core book for Army Level fantasy wargaming ● Pages: 93, full color ● Written by Andrea Sfiligoi ● No other book required Buy PDF on Ganeshagames Buy PDF on OneBookShelf Buy PDF on Gumroad Buy Paperback on Lulu

Miniature Games- Science Fiction SWATTERS LARGE SCALE BUG-HUNTING MINIATURES RULES An exciting, fast-playing miniatures system for simulating battles between asymmetrical forces of humans and aliens. Using 20 to 50 (or more) singly-based figures per player and moving them as units, two players can complete a typical scenario on a 6’x4' table in under two hours. Every figure represents a single man, vehicle or alien. Squads move and fight as units (they are placed on spare CDs used as trays). Single models are removed as casualties. SWATTERS is an infantry-centric game. Vehicles, gun emplacements and giant monsters play an occasional role. Combat is based on the roll of a single six-sided die for the attacking unit and one for the defending unit. The difference between the scores determines the outcome. The two asymmetrical forces have a limited pool of supplementary dice that may be spent to ensure success in key tactical situations. Humans use these extra dice to gain an edge in ranged combat; aliens use the extra dice to spawn reinforcements and in close combat. Includes rules for: Close and ranged combat; Overwatch, ambushes, crossfire, reactive fire, support weapons, and orbital bombardment, 35 special rules; Profiles for over 20 alien and 22 human troop types; 12 ready-to-run scenarios and two additional scenario ideas; Guidelines for solo gaming; A point system for designing your own troops; Ideas for using SWATTERS for other types of conflict. SWATTERS was designed for the 15mm models produced by Khurasan Miniatures but may be used in any scale and with any other models, from 6mm to 28mm. ● Type: Core Book for sci-fi large skirmish battles ● Based on the "Song of Blades" engine. ● Pages: 48, full color ● Written by Andrea Sfiligoi ● Models available from Khurasan Miniatures Buy PDF on Ganeshagames Buy PDF on OneBookShelf Buy PDF on Gumroad 25

SAMURAI ROBOTS BATTLE ROYALE This stand-alone set of miniatures rules for mecha battles based on the award-winning Song of Blades engine allows to refight the wild battles from classic Japanese anime series. It includes rules for more realistic science-fiction military games, or even battles with steam-powered engines of destruction. You can play quick mecha vs mecha duels, or larger battles where each player controls 3-6 giant robots for a two-hour game. The rules a non-scale specific, but most players use 40mm mecha “gashapon” capsule toys. Build your mecha from the ground up with a point system, choosing Quality/Combat scores, armor, weapons and special rules for each part of its body. Samurai Robots Battle Royale and our kaiju game Mighty Monsters are compatible, so you can pit your mechas vs. giant monsters. MIGHTY MONSTERS Fast-playing monster combat rules in the tradition of Japanese giant monster movies. Create your colossal monsters and stomp the city, tear down buildings, destroy whole armies with your radioactive breath. Mighty monsters includes rules for monster types such as blobs, giant robots, tokusatsu heroes and alien invasion forces, and enough pre-designed monsters to start playing immediately. You can even play the army! You can play a single monster vs. monster or “monster team” battles. In the average “team” battle a player controls 3-4 monsters, but it is possible to play just one – there’s a “Duel” scenario for that. You create a monster from the ground up, choosing a Quality and Combat score for every part of its body. Think of a monster as a “warband” in Song of Blades: to move you activate the monster’s “legs” (or pseudopods, wings, etc.), to grapple you activate its arms, and so on. If you play the Army, or the Superscience Team, you get a number of infantry bases that you move around the battlefield. Monsters do not have “hit points”. As they are wounded, you use colored dice for activation rolls. When the colored dice fail a roll, the monster suffers some kind of effects from its wounds. Giant robots are designed like other monsters. They are unaffected by psychological effects like going berserk or being intimidated, and might explode when severely damaged. This game is fully compatible with Samurai Robots Battle Royale, which uses the same rules but focuses on giant robots. Use both books for kaiju vs. mecha battles.

Song of Drums and Tomahawks Line SONG OF DRUMS AND TOMAHAWKS Fast Play Skirmish Rules for the French & Indian War and More Do you dare enter into the dark woodlands of early America? The boom of a flintlock musket, a cloud of acrid black powder, and the drumming of feet as they rush towards the fallen foe. A knife is unsheathed, and with a few quick movements, the enemy’s bloody scalp is ripped free. Warfare in the Eastern Woodlands of America was one of raids, ambushes and sudden violent encounters. These are the skirmishes that Song of Drums and Tomahawks seeks to recreate. The French & Indian War is the most well-known conflict of this period, but these rules cover from the time of the European arrival until the mid-1800s. Players will generally control less than a dozen figures in multiplayer games, perhaps more in one-on-one contests. The fast-paced play, the tense decision making using simple, easy-to-learn rules, will lead to many fun and gripping games. This book includes: ● Historical background on Native American tribes and their Europeans foes. ● A map showing the locations of the major Native American tribes. ● Timeline covering the major and minor wars from European arrival in North America until the 2nd Seminole War. ● Army lists for the Native Americans, as well as the French & British. ● Complete list of Traits to individualize your troops and reflect the various fighting styles of tribal warriors, European soldiers, or frontiersmen. ● Suggestions on how to set up games and scenarios. ● Detailed description of warfare in this period. ● Type: Core rules, no other books needed ● Pages: 62, black and white ● Written by Mike Demana Buy PDF on Ganeshagames Buy PDF on OneBookShelf Buy Paperback on Lulu Buy Paperback on Amazon 39

Flashing Steel Line FLASHING STEEL SKIRMISH RULES for Swashbuckling Adventures DASHING HEROES OF MORE CIVILISED TIMES! Fast paced, skirmish level, romantic Late Renaissance, miniature war-game system for two or more players. Based on the popular Song of Blades mechanics, the rules are simple but laden with lots of crunchy tweaks. This is both a war-game and a chance to do a little story-telling. 1560 to the early 1700's: the Age of Exploration. Religious wars tear Europe apart. Families are split by the English Civil War. The Dutch break away from Spain after a titanic 80 year struggle. Spain attempts and fails to invade England in the largest naval operation to that date. The seas are opened to suicidally brave mariners who bring back the wealth from the New World, and who are in turn harried by Privateers from every other nation. The Turks knock on the borders of the Holy Roman Empire. Sweden grows to be one of the First Nations, and then recedes again. Transylvanians sweep down from their forests. And Shakespeare writes about it all. Save the Queen from the machinations of the only man who really has a plan for the kingdom; resist the the spread of poisonous Protestantism; scheme with the revolutionaries to assassinate the Prince; board the enemy vessel and take what is not yours by right. And do it with style: in well dressed simplicity, an easy smile and a cutting remark, and murderous slash with your sword that leaves enemies cowed and ladies fanning themselves. Fast Play: Finish a battle in 30-45 minutes; play a mini campaign in a single evening. Scenario generator: create a linked series of adventures. Any scale: use15mm, 28m or 54mm single based figures. Easy entrance: Play with 4-15 models. Small play area: 3'x3' is enough. Pregenerated statistics: full historical section of 31 pirates included. ● Type: Core rules for swashbuckling action ● Pages: 40, black and white ● Written by Andrew Boswell ● No other book required Buy PDF on Ganeshagames Buy PDF on OneBookShelf Buy Paperback on Lulu

Osprey Wargames Series OF GODS AND MORTALS Mythological Wargame Rules These rules allow to conduct tabletop battles between forces of chosen warriors led by mythological beasts, heroes, and the gods themselves! Thor, Loki, Odin, Ares, Zeus, the Dagda, Poseidon, Horus, Hermes, Cernunnos, Crom Cruach and Seth clash on the battlefield, and the fate of the universe is at stake. Four factions are provided – Greeks, Egyptians, Celts, and Norse. A point system lets you design any other figure. A game can be completed in 1 hour, playing on a 3' x 3' table with 16-20 figures per player, in any scale. Larger games are possible. Each player controls 1 god, 1 to 5 legends, and 1-3 units of mortals. Gods need the energy deriving from the mortals' faith, and mortals need the protection of the gods. Between them stand the legends: demigods and heroes like Herakles, Theseus, Cú Chullain, or spawn of darkness like the Hydra, the Kraken, Medusa, mummies, or the threeheaded Cerberus. Models are singly-based, allowing to remove casualties as they occur. Gods and legends move as single figures. Mortals are arranged as close-order or open-order units, and placed on trays to speed up movement. A FISTFUL OF KUNG FU Hong Kong Movie Wargame Rules Origins Award Nominee “Best Miniatures Rules” Recreate scenes from Hong Kong action cinema like Enter the Dragon, Kill Bill, Big Trouble in Little China, Crouching Tiger - Hidden Dragon, and Hard Boiled. A Fistful of Kung Fu is set in a modern world walking a precarious line between the technological advances of next-generation technology and the tradition and mysticism of ancient cultures. Kung Fu schools face off in no-holds barred martial arts tournaments. Evil corporations hire hitmen and infiltrators to steal each other's secrets. Overworked SWAT teams respond to street-level gunfights between feuding Triad and Yakuza clans. Ancient artefacts are sought by hopping vampires and cyborgs alike, each seeking to harness the power of the Four Dragon Kings and control the world. Bullets, punches, kicks and throwing stars fly in slow motion as martial arts heroes and gun-wielding cops defeat enemy after enemy in the pursuit of evil masterminds. Possible factions range from Chinese Triads and the Japanese Yakuza to Ninja clans, martial arts schools, the men and women of the Hong Kong Police Department, demons, secret societies and almost anything else you can imagine! All struggle for supremacy - destroying the city in the process. Mooks and supporting cast are swatted like flies, but can still be dangerous with the advantage of numbers or automatic weaponry. Based on the popular Song of Blades system, A Fistful of Kung Fu introduces martial arts combat with maneuvers that have different outcomes depending on the degree of success, and which allow for counter-attacks when they fail, giving a flowing, appropriate combat system. The game also includes rules for challenges and "gun-fu" stunts. Each gang in the game comprises 1 principal character, 1 optional Bruiser and 5-15 mooks that move as small groups or as individuals. ● Type: Core rules, no other book required ● Pages: 62, full color ● Written by: Andrea Sfiligoi, published by Osprey wargames Buy PDF and epub on OneBookShelf Buy Kindle on Amazon Buy Paperback on Amazon

FURIES OF THE BARRENS A Science Fantasy Roleplaying Game WARNING: Despite its cartoony artwork, this RPG mentions adult themes (sex, slavery, drugs, violence). Parental discretion is recommended. NOT FOR CHILDREN.

Hidden in their towering eyries, near-omnipotent Overlords rule over the Barrens, a rocky desert that was once a fertile land. Armed with psychotronic mind-control devices, they wage petty wars against each other, mustering armies of slaves, monsters, and lab-created humanoids. Scattered communities of Oms, Sluggors, Splitters, Starheads, Lotus Eaters, Blackbills, Spinetails, Goatfolk, Crystal Eyes, White Scales, Redclaws, Fire-Belchers, and Grafters, eke out a bare existence on limited supplies of food and water. But some refuse to live like this. Some dream of lush lands beyond the Barrens. They become outcasts, reavers, explorers, adventurers. They become the Furies of the Barrens. Traditional: One GM, many players, each running a character described by a class. Player-Facing: Only the players roll dice d20 based: All actions are determined by the roll of a single d20. Roll-low: Players must roll UNDER their attribute score to succeed. Level-Based: PCs level up, increasing hit points and scores as they do so. Familiar Attributes: PCs are described by the familiar attributes of the world’s first role-playing game. Rules-Light: Learn the basic mechanics in ten minutes: the GM is encouraged to improvise. Unusual setting: 14 character classes in a survival science fantasy setting inspired by underground comics of the '70s. A short adventure playable in a single session is provided. ● Type: Core Book roleplaying game ● Pages: 87, black and white ● Written and illustrated by Andrea Sfiligoi ● Based on The Black Hack by David Hack ● No other books required to play. TALES OF THE SUN-KISSED VALE A Setting for Tales of Blades and Heroes This supplement for Tales of Blades and Heroes describes a valley of magically evolved mushrooms called Fungi Folk. Some are just unintelligent monsters. But many have absorbed intelligence, literacy and tool use from neighboring human, hobgoblin, wood elf and goblin cultures. Fungi Folk are divided into four main cultures: the militaristic, adventuresome Oaken Spears, the necromantic Rotten Hearts, the mystically inclined Path of the Underwood, and the nature-loving Autumn Folk. Tales of Blades and Heroes statistics for the commonest creatures are provided; the background information can be easily adapted for other roleplaying games. Using the stats requires a copy of Tales of Blades and Heroes and Tales of Beasts and Perils. A copy of Heroes of the Tales is helpful but not essential (for a few abilities used in certain profiles). ● Type: Supplement ● Pages: 58, full color ● Written and illustrated by Andrea Sfiligoi ● Requires Tales of Blades and Heroes ● Best used with Heroes of the Tales

BLOOD, SWEAT AND CHEERS A tactical, two-player, card and dice game, that recreates single combat between gladiators in the arenas of the Roman world. Cards are used to abstractly represent the different options available to a player’s gladiator during the ebb and flow of a gladiatorial bout, while dice are used to resolve interactions. The watching crowd interacts with the gladiators in the arena by rewarding showy attacks and spilt blood with favorable cheering which may in turn be used to buoy up a gladiator’s performance. FAQ I heard some of your books contain adult themes. What gives? In some of our books we explore unconventional themes and there is a bit of stuff that may be too much for children, so we put a disclaimer on the back cover. Nothing is described in graphic details, but there are references to cannibalism and sexual activities. In addition, we used a few out-of copyright illustrations from old pulp magazines that feature partial female nudity. It’s pretty tame stuff, really, but since many of you are playing with children, we thought to give you a warning.

Why Aren’t All the books available on Amazon? Uploading the books on Amazon is a time-consuming process and sometimes the files are not accepted for technical reasons. We will slowly add all of our catalog on Amazon.

Why Aren’t All the Books on the same store? Different stores have different policies on what can be sold or cannot be sold. Also, these policies change over time. The Ganesha Games catalog represents almost 13 years of activity.

Why Aren’t All the Books in the same format? This catalog represents 13+ years of publishing, and we tried several formats over the time. We are pretty much devoted to the 6x9 inches format now, but some older books are larger. As the older books get new editions, they will eventually migrate to the 6x9 format. We will use the leter-sized format for accessories like books of hex paper sheets, adventure logs and the like that would not work well in the 6x9 size.

I run a game store. Can I order the books direct? Sure! Just drop an email to andreasfiligoi@gmail.com. There is no minimum order and you may reorder as soon as you run out of copies.

Where do the books ship from? From a variety of stores, generally the one closest to you. Lulu, our main printer, has print stores in many different countries, and their shipping is reasonable.

Are your books sold in any brick-and-mortar stores? Yes. Check out the following: Mjolnir games (Rome, Italy) GamesPlus (Chicago, USA) Battlefield Berlin (Berlin, Germany) Fan Boy Three (Manchester, UK) Common Ground Games (Dallas, TX) Dungeonland (Blackpool, UK) More stores will be added as our plans for world domination become reality. Follow Ganesha Games on Facebook to keep up to date. If your local store doesn’t carry our books, ask them to and put them in touch with us!

Where can I post questions? Andrea can be reached at andreasfiligoi@gmail.com, on the Song of Blades and Heroes Facebook group (that is used as the OFFICIAL Facebook group for all Ganesha Games products), the Solo Boardgamers Facebook group, and the Adventurers Guild Four Against Darkness Group on Facebook. Any of these groups is OK! Italian players can also contact him on the Four Against Darkness Edizione Italiana facebook group by MS Edizioni.

I have written a module for one of your games, will you publish it? Send your idea proposal to andreasfiligoi@gmail.com and we will discuss it. You are expected to playtest the game and - obviously- be familiar with the core rules it is based on. We pay 50% royalties after expenses, basically splitting the profit 50/50 between author and publisher (which is also illustrator and layout man). It won’t make you rich, nobody gets rich in this business, but it’s fun.

I have written a supplement for one of your games, can I publish it? We love to see what fans make with our games, so feel free to post anything as long as it is not a copy and paste work. If you are going to sell it, or if it reprints a substantial portion of our rules, you need our permission first. If it’s good, we might just ask you to publish it with Ganesha Games. If it’s fan-made material, we still would like to see it before you publish it, because with a little work we may turn it into a professional book.

Can you read your ebooks on a smartphone? Yes but remember that the files are zipped. So you either need an unzip app on your phone, or you have to unzip it on a computer and then email the PDF to yourself and open it in your PDF reading app. Please consider that the books are filled with tables and these may be too small to read on a phone screen.

What happens when you update an ebook? If you purchased the ebook, you will be able to download the updated version for free. Unfortunately we cannot offer the same for printed books.

I am an established reviewer. Can I get some free book to review? We give PDF copies to established reviewers with their own YouTube channel or a well-known blog/aggregator. Contact andreasfiligoi@gmail.com for review copies.

I am a publisher in a non-English-speaking country and I want to translate your books in my language. Contact Andrea Sfiligoi at andreasfiligoi@gmail.com The non-English edition rights of the Four Against Darkness books and their merchandise products are managed by MS Edizioni in Italy.
