About Us Simply Extend is part of Wood Construction Ltd which started life as a consultancy solely managing commercial projects on behalf of major corporations. We've managed civil work as well as railway construction work with clients that include Network Rail, Metronet, the Olympic Development Authority and Westfield. In early 2008 we started to branch out into domestic home construction and formed Simply Extend, the basic concept being to apply the same proven project management techniques used in the commercial construction world, but simplified and adapted for domestic projects. Extensions Extensions are a good way to add extra space and value to your home. There are many different types that can be built and you may not always require planning permission; this would depend on the size and type you want. If your home is semi-detached, you are allowed a single story extension up to 3m deep without planning permission. If your home is detached, you are allowed a single storey extension up to 4m deep without planning permission.
