FORMER ARCHITECTURAL SCHOOL OF NANTERRE RE-MADE WORKSHOPS NANTERRE, FRANCE Orchestra design partnership with France Housing Group Master Plan - Design Concept «The rehabilitation of the old School of Architecture Nanterre is a great opportunity, not only to preserve the priceless heritage that represents this building, emblem of experimental architecture of the 1970s, but also to recreate a place of life, open to the neighborhood and the city, which meets the needs of the territory and its users. Our group, supported by the lessor France Habitation, proposes to make «ReMade Workshops» a place of exchange and conviviality, around the culture, learning and creation in continuity of its history. A unifying place for Nanterrians but also value creator who will proudly wear the colors of a «Re-Made in Nanterre» label; a place that will be part of new alternative cultures of the Metropole Parisienne, where conomy, culture and humanity intertwine. A hybrid eco-system The eco-system of Re-Made Workshops has been conceived through three main principles: > Encourage meetings > Develop synergies > Adapted to the heritage

FORMER ARCHITECTURAL SCHOOL OF NANTERRE LES QUAIS. VANNES. RIVE GAUCHE VANNE, FRANCE Orchestra design consortium with Devillers & Associés Design of the public spaces 2018 Thinking of the port of Vannes is to think of a singular place, in tension between a contemporary city turned towards the blue economy and the strength of a millennial history. The strong symbolism of this place, both River and Door of the Sea, constantly reminds the passer-by as many winks (the hold, the wharves, the locks, the pontoons and the pier). The port must find its role as a place of exchange, that can be appropriated by all Vannetais. By celebrating the port identity of Vannes, the project we propose feeds on the productive history of the Left Bank to transcend and integrate it. Our work combines: · Strong programmatic and architectural gestures, such as the creation of a hybrid, innovative and radiant hotel, · And fine interventions of sublimation of the existing: revelation of a wall, reuse of the stones, houses melted in the topography from the hill, etc.

INDUSTRIAL CLUSTER OCTAVA GIVING VOICE TO MAKERS TULA, RUSSIA as part of the Orchestra design

2017 - present time Territory: the territory of the plant «Octave» Customer: Rosteh Concept - Cultural programming - Architectural design - Design of urban environment - Author’s supervision Octava - a plant founded in Tula in 1927, currently produces microphones, known throughout the world. The emergence of a creative industrial cluster with new forms of production not only promotes the shift of the development vector from military production to civilian, but also supports transition to a new economy. At the invitation of Rostech, the project bureau of the Orchestra developed a concept for cluster development, project of architectural renovation of the territory, cultural program. Creative Industrial Cluster «Octave» was opened on 04/23/2018.

COLORS OF THE CLUSTER BEFORE CONSTRUCTION

CULTURAL PROGRAMMING OF THE TERRITORY AND ECO-SYSTEM OF CLUSTER Sociocultural program developed for the Octave was named «Giving voice to Makers». It is dedicated to the support, development and communication of the community makers - inventors, masters, developers, entrepreneurs, engineers and everyone who loves to create new things. The heart of the public program is the theme of «Makers» and the value of supporting personalized productions. Around it four main content directions are formed, reflecting the composition programs and values of «Octave»: Science and Technology, Design and Communications, DIY-Art and Ecology. According to the developed program, every year «Octave» consists of 6 thematic cycles of 8 weeks and includes two seasons: winter and summer with two key events: «Fair of Makers» and «Festival of Sound».

RENOVATION OF THE PARK «CHEBURASHKA», YELABUGA GAINING POWER OF HEIGHTS ELABUGA, REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN as part of the Orchestra design Federal Competition of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation «Historical cities and small settlements» (1 st place) 2018 Territory: 7 hectares Master Plan - Urban Design - Cultural Program The program involving citizens

The aim of our project is to connect the New City with the river and give residents and guests of the city the opportunity Enjoy the natural beauty of the banks of the Kama. Children’s park «Cheburashka» - in the past a family park, it was built by the efforts of several generations of residents of the new districts of Yelabuga. we propose to make it a full-fledged city park, combining culture, society and modernity. The project creates a double point of attraction. With one parties, the park «Cheburashka» - as the Central Park of the city for recreation and participation in culturaleducational programs. On the other hand, a special point of inspiration and unity with nature on a cliff over the confluence of the rivers Kama and Toima.

The identity of the park «Cheburashka» is formed through the creation of seven game spaces, which are associated with Soviet attractions. These spaces are suitable for different groups of users and create the possibility of communication between them. Within the framework of the project, a new infrastructure for the cultural program will appear. We offer indoor pavilion for the year-round running of the event program and the use of projects of urban communities. On the other hand, a species point above the river will create a natural environment with objects that minimize the impact on nature and do not distract a person from the general with her. To connect two different spaces we create a linear park along the avenue of the Peace, friendly to pedestrians and cyclists.

PEDESTRIAN ENVIRONMENT OF THE CENTER OF SHLISSEELBURG TOWARDS TO THE WATER SHLISSELBURG, RUSSIA as part of the Orchestra design

Competition of the Governor of the Leningrad Region on projects of improvement of pedestrian zones in the settlements of the Leningrad Region Territory: 3 hectares Master Plan - Design Concept Shlisselburg is a small town at the mouth of the Neva River and Lake Ladoga, With a population of 15,000 inhabitant. It was founded by Yuri Danilovich in 1323 as a fortress «Oreshek», and then under Peter I was renamed and began a new stage in its history. The city is included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Of particular interest is the central canal system, designed in the 18th century. The project «Forward to Water» offers a pedestrian route that connects the main public spaces of the city center and forms new connections with water. Inspired by the history of the canal and traditional boat craftsmanship, we developed small architectural forms that tell the story of the city and are convenient for pastime by the water. + placemacing objects Team: Orchestra Year: 2017 role: lead architect

DEVELOPMENT OF DESIGN OF THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT BY MEANS OF THE MUSEUMIFICATION OF THE COMPLEX OF DEFENSIVE STRUCTURES OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE KUPCHINO DISTRICT SAINT-PETERSBURG, RUSSIA Master thethis Territory: 3 hectares Master Plan - Design Concept The subject of museification is the preservation of the memory of material cultures, will remain a topical issue. The museum, as an object, occupies a special role in this specificity, it is an opportunity to translate the value of the experience of past material cultures, projecting them into the present. The problem is that, the development of the city are subsequently replaced by a new development, erasing completely the traces of the past. Meanwhile, the efforts made in the past had great social and cultural significance. For this reason, attempts are made everywhere to muse such actions and efforts. Some of these efforts were not expressed in a pointlike transformation, but entailed environmental transformations, changes in the landscape.

SYSTEM DESIGN The result of this work is the developed set of system principles for the implementation of linear environmental museums dedicated to the Second World War. The concept of museumification of the objects of the defensive complex of the Second World War with a complex of small architectural forms as a natural self-regulating environment for life, work and creativity is developed, taking into account the revealed features and principles of volumetric-spatial and architectural-typological formation of the existing development of the selected territory. An algorithm for interpreting historical sites in open urban areas was developed to create sites of historical significance. Application of the design code of road surfaces, with the subsequent installation of the necessary components of small architectural forms, depending on the characteristics of the displayed objects.

DESIGN CODE A system of mutually substituting road interpretations was developed, the types of military facilities identified in the thesis: trenches, trenches, ditches, roads, bunkers, pillboxes and dugouts). Are located horizontally. And their relationship with existing pavements: carriageways, pedestrian crossings, sidewalks, curbs, bicycle paths, tramway rails, manholes, lawns, high / medium vegetation, water objects, infrastructure (TP.), Stops, platforms. Are located vertically. Also, a separate graph provides for displaying the material in its current state The materials of road clothes were selected on the basis of the qualities of wear resistance, while preference was given to those that possessed the tactile features inherent in the war period. Each category of pavements was assigned an index, which subsequently marks the design area, for further indexing of the projected fragments. Military objects have the index [.X]. System urban objects are indexed by the corresponding designation [X.], depending on the sequence number of the considered. Thus, the distribution of materials over a variable territory is the priority at the design sites, then, in accordance with the materials listed in the table, the coatings are replaced.

LOW-RISE RESIDENTIAL MODEL MIND OF THE PLACE RUSSIA as part of Romashka buro open international competition for alternative layout design in standart housing Strelka 2018

Continuous emergence of new patterns of everyday existence, styles life and types of services leads to unanticipated requests for space. For reaction of space to the requests put forward to him requires a different level adaptation of physical space and the field of socioeconomic relations. In the project «Reason of Space», space coding does not occur at the level semantics of architectural elements. The encoding is the algorithm that creates adaptive spatial model. Now we are not trying to categorize and catch countless variations in the development of society, creating a «herbarium» inefficient solutions. We create a network that can compile, process and offer.

The method of urban laboratories_ using input data collected by the living cell and empirical knowledge of the user, professional teams help to adapt the individual living cell or the overall structure of the neighborhood. The method of urban data-laboratories is used for sustainable development of the quarter and prevention of changes that entail unintended consequences. The method of rapid adaptations is architectural interventions that allow the user to reorganize space through available techniques. The method of self-determination areas is spatial models that are ready to accept new functions. The definition of the function is based on the current needs. The method of collective ties is social practices aimed at the constant interaction of users of the quarter. Energy efficiency of the building is achieved through the use of CLT-panels in structures and constant monitoring of energy resources at home. A single smart system within the quarter will ensure the efficient use of energy. The use of CLT-panels will allow the reuse of the material when adapting the structure of the house. Modifications of the panels allow using them in any climatic region. Smart panels provide additional functionality to cells operating in the system. Built-in solar panels provide a smart home system with backup power. The location of the panels takes into account the cooling potential of the system, the direction of the sun, the necessary sensor placement areas, the proximity of third-party systems.

EMBANKMENT OF THE CITY OF KALUGA PLINTH OF THE ACROPOLE KALUGA, RUSSIA as part of the Orchestra design

Open national architectural competition for the development of concepts for the improvement of key public spaces in 15 cities of Russia (Special Mention) Territory: embankment of the city of Kaluga, 2 km Customer: KB Strelka Concept, Master Plan - Design of Public Spaces

In 2017, the team of the «Orchestra» received a special mention prize from the Strelka for the project of improving the embankment of the Yachnensky Reservoir in the city of Kaluga. The Astronautics Museum, the Innovative Cultural Center, the Vostok booster rock form the cultural acropolis of Kaluga. The concept of the «Orchestra» is the development of the embankment, as the foundation of this acropolis, which opens the perspective to the objects of culture at the top and connects them with nature and the water surface below. The plinth is the most active and crowded place of the city, the place of informal urban culture and recreation, impregnated with the ideas of the acropolis. Here, everyone has a choice of how to spend leisure time: go to conquer the cultural route and visit museums and cultural centers or take a stroll along the water surface, touching nature.

THE CONCEPT OF THE ORGANIZATION OF THE EMBANKMENT The basic principles of the organization of the territory are additional accesses to the embankment to avoid the «dead end» effect, zoning of the territory and placement of quiet and active zones, a variety of small architectural forms for the pastime of the townspeople. Sports facilities for existing cross-country, bike and skate communities, an event site, a summer pool that simultaneously functions as a winter catholic. Key waterfront facilities were Designed based on the drawings of Tsiolkovsky. For example, a space elevator along the surface of the reservoir. A special place in the project was occupied by a curatorial program for young artists of Kaluga, within the framework of which they developed art projects inspired by the cosmos and Tsiolkovsky.
