uKNIGHTED in spirit
The Golden Knight represents us because the Knight is “always faithful, generous, brave and honorable.” We are a community founded on honor, courage and achievement; it’s the tradition you step into when you become a Golden Knight. These values carry into athletics and academics, in our travels across the world and into the communities we serve. When you put on maroon and gold and gather, uKnighted in spirit, you become a part of that tradition, and we can’t wait for you to become a Gannon Knight. 2 #GUPossibilities

INSPIRING academic success
The interactions you have with your professors will be among your most important experiences at Gannon. We take the student-faculty ratio seriously and feel that a strong education stems from your professors getting to know you. We believe students learn best when faculty love teaching and are supported by their active research. Our faculty are experts in their field and are here to inspire you to question, learn, believe and achieve. What’s Possible? You Name It! Think about what you love to study, or where you imagine yourself working, or what you want to accomplish in the future. It’s possible at Gannon. We offer 64 bachelor’s degrees and 36 minors, and 11 online degrees. Each of our majors includes opportunities to work and learn in professional settings.
Students and Professors Have you ever had a teacher who changed the course of your life? Such teachers are here at Gannon University. With a low 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, Gannon is a place where your professors’ first priority is your success. Don’t be surprised when your professors stop and chat with you in the hallways or remember you long after you’ve taken their classes. Gannon professors get to know you, learn about your goals, your accomplishments and your struggles. You’ll feel comfortable contributing to class discussions, speaking with your professors after class and working with them as you plan your career.
ANJALI SAHAY, PH.D., Faculty “One of the best ways to become global citizens is through roleplaying and simulation, and that’s a big part of Model U.N., where you can learn global issues while you’re right here on campus. Participating in Model U.N. is an intensive learning experience in planning, budgeting, leadership, speaking and debating skills.” 4 #GUPossibilities

Researching Side-by-Side How far can your research project at Gannon go? Maybe into the pages of a national, peer-reviewed professional journal, or 30 feet below the surface of the Caribbean Sea as you observe marine organisms and coral reefs. Your research might take you 4,000 years into the past at Gannon’s Bronze Age archaeological dig in Jordan. You don’t even have to leave campus to do groundbreaking biomedical research using motion-capture technology in Gannon’s Human Performance Laboratory. At Gannon, your professors enjoy learning right beside you, working with you to advance your knowledge in your chosen field.

Where can you find students of Gannon University’s College of Engineering and Business? They’re getting hands-on experience just blocks from campus in the headquarters of a Fortune 500 corporation. They are at the controls of a robot with advanced haptics technology that can be used to train surgeons in laparoscopic surgical procedures. Although they haven’t traveled to outer space yet, an instrument package designed, built and controlled by Gannon University students flew to near space on a NASA-funded project to live-stream video of a solar eclipse for the first time. Gannon has been a regional leader in educating business leaders and engineering professionals. You can find these outstanding students at exceptional learning environments such as the Center for Advanced Engineering and the Center for Business Ingenuity, a gleaming building in the heart of Erie’s central business district. Some are using the same sophisticated software that powers the world’s largest corporations. Best of all, you can imagine yourself where they are–and where they’re going, boldly into the future. #GUPossibilities 7

HOUSING One of the most rewarding parts of your college experience is finding people who have the same goals and interests as you. At Gannon University, you can also live with them. Our Affinity Housing (AH) communities bring together students who expressed a preference to live with others sharing similar interests. We offer AH communities for first-year students in the Honors and health professions programs, and for students with special interests in leadership, pep band, board games and more. Students are also encouraged to propose new AH communities for the following academic year. Living in these communities offers a richer, more engaged
