We are required by law to deduct income tax and national insurance. You can earn a certain amount of income each year, called Personal Allowance, before you need to pay any Income Tax, the amount depends on the tax code you have been issued by HMRC. Ni Overview– 2022-2023 • You pay national insurance contributions if you earn more than £190 a week; • You pay 13.25% of your earnings above this limit and up to £967 a week; • The rate drops to 3.25% of your earnings over £967 a week. All workers are automatically enrolled into our pension scheme, as per our legal requirements, after a 12-week postponement. The deductions are calculated at 5% of earnings over £120 per week up to £967. Your employer will also contribute 3%.
