Our Health Professions Advising Committee has been preparing pre-health students toward acceptance into some of the nation’s most prestigious health professional programs for the past 45 years. During this time, approximately 85 percent of those recommended by our advising committee have been accepted into health professions programs. Since the institution of our formal post-baccalaureate program in 2004, 92 percent of the students who completed the certificate have been accepted. To meet the demands of increasing enrollment and train well-qualified students to fill a nationwide nursing shortage, Cal State Fullerton has established a School of Nursing within the College of Health and Human Development. Now the second-largest program in the CSU, the school has added new pre-licensure nursing programs at both the bachelor’s- and master’s-degree levels. A new Doctor of Nursing Practice program will launch in 2012 as part of a consortium with CSU Long Beach and Los Angeles campuses.
