LAPOINT & SAVAGE WEDDING

Bill & Jamieson had a very memorable wedding recepton with us in 2022. With the majority of their guests coming in from out of state, they wanted to incorporate the elements of Colorado into their wedding theme. A great example of how they did was by adding a mountain scenery to their menus on each place setting. They also named their signature cocktails “Red Rocks” and “Colorado Mule” which featured local Colorado spirits.

There are many ways couples can incorporate their venue location theme into their wedding by just adding small details to their decor, cuisine and/or giving their guests favors for from local small businesses.

Wedding Highlight

There is a special bond between a father and daughter that is brought into focus throughout the wedding planning process. The father of the bride is a great resource for helping brides find their center and providing them with a support system throughout the big day. They also have a few responsibilities on the wedding day such as walking the bride down the aisle and the time you will shed the most tears during the sweet father daughter dance.

Happy Father’s Day from the Weddings Team at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club! We are fortunate to work with such amazing fathers. Cherish your loved ones and take the time to celebrate the amazing father figures in your life.

Wedding Pickleball Games

Wedding Pickleball Games Highlight

Jamieson’s father coordinated with our weddings team and Director of Racquet Sports, Greg Hearrt, to set up pickleball matches for one of the days during their wedding weekend.

All of the guests who were in town were encouraged to partcipate. This activity was a great way to make the guests feel included and spend some additional time with the couple.

Here are some ways to incorporate your dad on the big day:

• Specifically thank the parents in the ceremony script or in the programs

• Escorting the bride down the aisle

• Giving a toast

• Being prepared for photos

• Providing a song for the father and daughter dance

• Helping wrap up any loose ends after the wedding day

Jesse began Food and Beverage career at the Hotel Elegante Conference and Event Center. Spending nearly two years working his way up from host to room service attendant, server, bartender and eventually Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. He spent 2 years there in management helping to refine training procedures, develop inventory systems and most importantly drive team culture. Leading a staff of 32 people to service 5 different Food and Beverage Outlets and 400 guest rooms.

Jesse joined the Garden of the Gods Resort & Club just over 2 years ago in the midst of the pandemic to learn more about the realm of fine dining. He worked through every line level position in his first 6 months here. Once he began working as a Supervisor and Assistant Manager, a lot of his focus has been on how we can continue to refine our service and continue to educate the staff in ways that allow them to best serve the guests. Resulting in higher guest ratings in both the Rocks and Grand View; and Grand View being recognized as OpenTable Diner’s Choice.

Jesse has been awarded as Leader of the Month in the 2022 and Leader of the Year for 2022.

In his free time, he loves to workout, running, cooking, and hiking with his wife.
