STRATA Fit CLASS DESCRIPTIONS 20/20): A 45-minute challenging mix of intense, dynamic core-stabilizing exercises and cardiovascular endurance to get the blood flowing and heart rate elevated. Barre: This class incorporates moves from ballet, Pilates, dance, yoga, and body weight strength training set to upbeat music. Bootcamp: An interval training class that mixes old school calisthenics and exercises paired with cardio and strength training. With a new workout every week, these classes are designed to push participants harder than they’d push themselves and to always keep the body guessing. Cardio/Strength: This class is designed to help shed that excess fat while building strength and endurance. This class includes circuit training, cardio exercise, body weight exercises with core training and stretching for a complete workout. Cycling & Strength: This class combines our indoor cycling class (see description below) and our strength class (see description below) for a total body workout. Decades Bootcamp: The decades bootcamp workout is a high intensity training class that includes functional fitness, such as using whole body, multi-joint exercises that simulate movements we do in life. While jamming out to tunes throughout the decades! Fit Body Bootcamp: An interval-based class that mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. Focused Recovery: In this class we will focus on restoring and repairing muscle to avoid injury and overuse. This class is a nice way to balance out your workouts. Gentle Stretch and Balance: The class focus’ on enhancing joint mobility, stretching, strengthening, and balance. HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training): This cross-training class uses weights for a fun workout to improve muscular strength and cardiovascular fitness. This class combines resistance training with plyometric moves to improve your strength and power. Indoor Cycling: Bring your cycle workout indoors for climbs, sprints, jumps, and much more. This workout is choreographed to fun and energetic music. Match Point Fit: Looking for a workout to improve your tennis game? STRATAFit in conjunction with GGRC Tennis has developed a tennis specific fitness program. This engaging group fitness program is designed to develop your best tennis body and ultimately your best tennis game. All ages, ability, and fitness levels welcome. Takes place at the M&M Tennis Center. There is a fee for this class. Moving to Thrive: Inspired by dance, martial and healing arts, energized by the healing power of music, this class is for anyone seeking ways to feel better while living with long or short-term illness, injury, stress, or conditions that present movement challenges. NIA: Nia combines energies and philosophies of dance, martial arts, and healing arts, supported by most current evidence-based research, to create a deep mind, body, spirt connection and somatic awareness. Pilates: Improve your posture and develop core control, which is the ability to move effectively and efficiently by using the body’s core. Pilates-evolved exercises coordinate breathing with co-contractions of the deep abdominal, pelvic floor, and spinal muscles. Pilates/Core: In this class you will build strength and flexibility, which will sculpt your body into a longer, leaner, stronger version of yourself. This class focuses a lot on strengthening your core, which helps with spinal stabilization, helping protect your body from back injuries and allowing you to stand taller and stronger. Qigong: “Qigong is also known as “Energy Exercise” The practice of Qigong is done in place and relates more toward internal energy and health. All movements are preformed slowly with an emphasis on deep breathing techniques. The history of this art goes back almost 3,000 years.
STRATA Fit CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Sculpt and Tone: A great way to define, sculpt and build lean muscle. Focuses on intense isolation exercises with free weights and resistance, ending with abs. Splashercise: This low/moderate impact class is performed in the shallow or deep end. Your choice. It is designed to improve joint stability, coordination, heart health, and strength, using water dumbbells. Strength: A fast moving class, that starts with an aerobic warm up and keeps your heart rate up throughout class. Various props are used as well as body weight exercises to strengthen upper and lower body and core. Total Body Strength: Strengthen your entire body with a mix of exercises using weights, sliders, bands and more to improve total body strength, balance, and core. TRX: Requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete a wide array of exercises. Vinyasa Yoga: A vigorous practice that includes fluid transitions from pose to pose, linking body, breath, and movement. Expect to explore forward folds, gentle backbends, spinal twists, and low impact strengthening in this class. Yin Yoga: This is a gentle and relaxing all-level class that works deeply into the connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine and is suitable to all levels of students through extended holds of postures. Yoga: This class emphasizes the basics of body alignment for any level of yoga practice. An excellent class for beginners through mid-level who are active and without major physical limitations. Develop stamina, strength, and flexibility, safely and effectively, in this full-spectrum class.
