Dear Members,

The fall season appears to have begun quickly and fully. With its arrival we are excited to move into a month of full autumn events and activities. Some of those events include:

After the summer months, Member Socials are returning to the Grand View on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 18th and 19th. Remember that we’ve now added a second day to help everyone enjoy this complimentary social gathering. You will be receiving an e-mail with information when reservations open for the Socials, and we look forward to welcoming you back to those events.

The Fall Festival, which we added last year to great success, will take place Saturday, October 15 th on the golf course driving range. The mechanical bull will be back along with the beer garden, tomahawk throwing, bounce houses, candy apple walks, and the popular “Great Pumpkin Patch”.

National Cupcake Day will be celebrated at the main lodge reception area on October 18 th with Cupcakes for all! Be sure to stop by and treat yourself to a house-made Cupcake prepared by our fabulous pastry team.

Kids’ Club has a busy schedule with Pumpkin Carving on the 22 nd, The Haunted Trail with tennis games and activities on the 28th and closing the month with Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 29th .

You are invited to participate with a trunk for this event and ask you contact Jasmine to coordinate.

PLEASE NOTE: The Neiman Marcus Fashion Show and Pop-up Boutique has a date change. The Fashion Show has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 26 th. For more information, please call 719-520-4966.

Strata Med continues to address skin health with ZO Health Experts on site for demos, deals and information on pigmentation and peels. Join the presentation on Thursday, October 13 th as the experts demonstrate peels designed to optimize your skin health and bring out your best complexion.

A quick look ahead into November…

You know her and love her music – now, join us as we celebrate Laura Rupejko with her CD Release Party on November 2nd at The View at Kissing Camels.

The next wine dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, November 2nd and features Vietti Winery, founded in the late 1800’s and located in the heart of the Langhe Hills of Italy.

Finally, there is still time and availability to book your holiday gatherings. Whether it be family or company dinners, lunches, or parties - don’t delay. Please contact the Club soon so that your preferred dates can be reserved.

SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET in the GRAND VIEW | SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9 & 16

Priced at $65 for adults and $30 for children - excludes Tax and Gratuity.

Join us for this member-favorite Sunday Brunch Buffet, complete with an included mimosa and bloody mary bar. The buffet commences at 10:00 a.m. with the final seating at 2:00 p.m. The brunch menu will vary each Sunday. Price is $65 for adults and $30 for children (ages 4 to 12). Price excludes tax and gratuity. Member Discount is applicable. The a la carte menus will not be available in the Grand View Dining Room during this time. For a la carte availability after 10:00 a.m., please make your reservation in the Rocks Lounge & Dining Room. VIETTI WINE DINNER in the HILL ROOM | WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2 ND

$99 per person – plus tax and gratuity.

Join us in the Hill Room for this month’s highly anticipated wine dinner featuring wines from Vietti Winery. Vietti, founded in the late 1800s by namesake Carlo Vietti, is located in the heart of the Langhe Hills of Italy. Each of the 5 specially crafted courses have been delicately paired with wines selected by our sommeliers to create a highly memorable dining experience. The evening will start with passed hors d’oeuvres and a welcome beverage at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to commence at 6:00 p.m. Price is $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Member discount is not applicable. Limited seating is available. You can reserve seats by visiting the Member Portal and making your reservation on the Restaurant Reservation tab.

NEW! ITALIAN NIGHT at KISSING CAMELS GRILLE & BAR – SATURDAYS

Pack your bags and prepare for a trip halfway around the world! The Kissing Camels Grille & Bar will be hosting Italian Night every Saturday night, beginning October 1, 2022. Regular a la carte menus will not be available. Member discount applies. Please make your reservation through the OpenTable Widget in the Restaurant Reservations tab of your Member Portal, selecting Kissing Camels Grille & Bar, or by calling the Kissing Camels Grille & Bar at (719) 329-6904. Holiday Events and Dining Cancellation / No Show

The 72-hour cancellation policy applies to all special holiday dining and event reservations. A fee of 50% of the prevailing event price for each reserved seat of the event will be charged to the member account or guest who made the reservation and fail to cancel within a 72-hour period. A fee of 100% of the prevailing event price for each reserved seat of the event will be charged to the member account or guest who made the reservation that fail to show to the event with no received cancellation before the start time of the event.

Dear Members.

GOLF GUEST REMINDER

It is your responsibility to register your guests with the Professional Staff in the Golf Shop prior to teeing off. This will create less confusion on the tee sheet. Members bringing repeat guests to the course, please remember our policy is 6 guest visits per year with the same guest. We appreciate everyone’s being respectful of this policy.

Don’t forget to fill in member/guest names to your tee times a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your starting time. TBD’s will be dropped after 48 hours.

As we move closer to winter and the possibility of frost delays, please make sure there are no carts in the native grass areas.

ADDITIONAL REMINDERS

We ask that you continue to use the sand provided to fill divots. Fixing pitch marks on the greens is imperative during the fall/winter months. Recovery time is much less than in the summer season.

Please make sure you are dressed appropriately when using the golf course and practice range. Proper attire consists of: Collared shirts that are tucked in, appropriate length bottoms, proper footwear (soft spikes/sneakers), and forward-facing hat bills. When in doubt please ask a member of the Professional Staff for assistance.

Drop-in registration may occur 24 hours prior to the day of camp at $35 per member

Welcome the Change of Season at the Fall Festival. There’s something for everyone from tomahawk throwing for adults, to a candy apple walk for the kiddos. Take a ride on the mechanical bull, visit the pumpkin patch and take one home.

TRUNK OR TREAT

Saturday, October 29th, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

It’s the spooktacular event kids wait all year to attend... the one and only Trunk or Treat! Grab your princess, Jedi, ghost or scarecrow along with their orange bucket to fill with treats and candy.

There will also be adult beverages, warm munchies and apple cider to enjoy while making memories walking from trunk to trunk, visiting the photobooth or watching the haunted magic show.

Entry is free but reservations are a must HERE so that there are plenty of treats for all.

If you are interested in having a trunk, please reach to Jasmine as soon as possible to reserve a spot or answer any questions.
