Resident Elizabeth Givens displays her collection. Filipino wood carvers use a form of acacia wood for creative carving. The inlaid pieces that mimic ivory are water buffalo horn.

Saturday Evening Concert Series: Brenten Megee 7pm, Chapel

Brenten will present a solo concert entitled “That Thing Called Love.” He will sing love songs of all types including romantic, brotherly, classical, Irish, Broadway and sacred as we celebrate the gift of love. This concert was rescheduled from February 15.

Jim Bennett, a volunteer with the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, will give an overview of the history of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He will explain how its expansion and innovations helped grow our country and economy during the second half of the 19th century and first half of the 20th. He will also share the story of how it merged with its rival in 1968, and why it went bankrupt two years later.

Garden Spot Village residents are invited to be Grandparents in Residence at Kenbrook Bible Camp in Lebanon, Pennsylvania! This rewarding opportunity allows you to connect with campers (ages 6-16) by sharing a hobby or interest, building faith-based relationships, and joining in camp activities. No special skills are needed—just a heart for kids!

Weeklong camps run Sunday afternoon through Friday evening, with a shorter session for younger campers. Volunteers receive complimentary meals, room and board, and golf cart transport. Transportation provided.
