DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN A MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN?

March 31 marks the deadline for Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31)

During this time, a person already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan may:

• Switch from one Advantage plan to a different

Advantage plan

• Leave your Advantage plan and return to Original

Medicare (can pick up a part D plan)

• Can add or drop Part D when switching plans

• Can’t switch from one stand-alone drug plan to another drug plan

Remember to check in-network /out-of-network status for all providers prior to selecting any new Medicare Advantage plan.

Friendly reminder to everyone in our community that constant diligence is needed to avoid becoming a fraud

victim. Carefully review ALL correspondence. Do not respond if uncertain of source. A recent scam email asked residents to change or verify their password for gardenspotvillage.net. Fortunately the resident checked with IT and learned the email was not sent by GSV. Keep in mind scams can come via text, phone calls, emails or snail mail. NEVER reveal personal information to a stranger. Inform social services if caught in a scam so all recovery steps can be taken.
