GSV residents John & Irene Smucker were founding partners and remain connected to NYSUM today. October 9-13, Garden Spot Village will sponsor a group of residents and staff for a week of outreach with NYSUM. Opportunities will include light construction work at the center, assisting with the food truck ministry to homeless persons in the evenings, visiting the Brooklyn Tabernacle prayer/worship service on Tuesday evening, and sitting in a class related to urban missions. A $50.00 donation per participant is requested and will cover the cost of transportation and room and board at the NYSUM center.
