The 2023 Garden Awards Gala is an annual programmatic event in the Fall to support Gardopia Garden’s capacity to grow healthy communities through garden-based learning. The nonprofits’ mission is always the expansion of garden education to build self-sufficiency, expand food access, advocate for a healthy lifestyle, and promote environmental stewardship in young people, individuals, and families. Our community vision of a sustainable society, empowered and educated to lead healthy lifestyles through gardening, becomes more realized each day through your support.
The Garden Awards Gala is a celebration of urban farming and gardening in San Antonio, Texas. This fundraising event honors the extraordinary urban agriculture individuals and organizations that make San Antonio a greener and healthier place to work, live, and play. The evening includes activities such as entertainment, food, beverage, keynote speakers, and a silent auction.
Feeling the acute shocks and chronic stressors associated with Coronavirus 2019 and Texas Winter Storm’s catastrophic effects propel the need for immediate solutions to obtain food justice, food sovereignty, quality nutrition, and health in the greater community Our sponsors are essential to Gardopia Gardens’ success, enabling positive systemic and generational change at the neighborhood, city, and regional levels.
