Brand-new products and prestigious collaborations in the name of sustainability: join Garmon Chemicals’ green revolution at Kingpins 13/14 April, Amsterdam – This will be an exciting edition of Kingpins for Garmon Chemicals, leader of chemical auxiliaries for the apparel industry. Sustainability has always been a priority for the company, including incorporating GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals into their product development process.
Innovations.
During the 2 days of the show, Garmon will be introducing two important innovations for the fashion world at its booth: -
Add Art, a revolutionary garment dyeing process specifically created for those who want to be recognized for their concern for the environment as much as for their style. Add Art’s environmentally-friendly products have a strong personality created by the use of linex add-bleach, a thickening agent that transfers the color onto the fabric through the formation of a gel. Compared to conventional processes, the dyeing phase uses at least 90% less water than that normally used in the dyeing bath.
-
Geopower Ds Brr, with its innovative enzymatic compound, can perform single bath desizing and stone wash treatments on denim at room temperature, optimizing production processes and saving precious resources such as water and energy: 50% less water and 74% less energy consumption, according to EIM.
The booth will also host The Italian Job fall-winter collection ‘Mechanical Workshop’, designed and created to express full range of possibilities in chemical innovation.
Collaborations.
Garmon Chemicals will play a leading role in two central projects showcased at this edition of Kingpins: - Invista, owner of the LYCRA® brand, will launch a collection of knit denim garments made with INVISTA’s LYCRA® HYBRID technology. Garmon will contribute to the project by applying the latest finishing techniques, which are based predominantly on chemical formulations assessed using GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals. From now on customers will no longer have to choose between comfort, style and ethics. - Garmon Chemicals has collaborated with Archroma, Lenzing and Royo to create ‘Rational Denim’, a product concept whose aim is to create the most sustainable denim garments ever. The production of the collection is based on the selection of the most sustainable materials and chemistry, and on the most efficient use of required resources.
The dialogue within the industry, for the industry.
Garmon Chemicals will take part in the Amsterdam International Laundry Days, alongside some of the fashion industry’s key players. Through their selected chemistry, Garmon will be the sole technical provider while the inventive pool of its sister company, The Italian Job, will add significant creative input.
