add–art
Redefining garment dyeing Garmon introduces add-art, a brand new garment dyeing process leading to remarkable product personality and extraordinary contrast effects on seams and double layers. add-art was created for style-makers who express their individuality by the way they dress and for environmentally -savvy people to whom sustainable behaviors are important. add-art is based on the use of linex add-bleach, the thickening agent that delivers the color onto the fabric through the formation of a gel. Compared to conventional processes, the dyeing phase saves at least 90% of the water normally used in the dyeing bath.
A look at the process The gel formed by linex add-bleach can be colored with both cpd pigments and hi-white dyes. The process, entirely carried out in the washing machine, generally includes:
Garments preparation
Cationization
Gel preparation
Gel application
After-treatment Low dosages of gel create uneven dyeing effects whereas dosages up to 1:1 gel/weight of fabric ratio gradually result in looks that are more similar to traditional dyeing processes. In all cases, the contrasts on seams and double layers remain highly pronounced.
