OPERATING ON THE WALL MICRO-UNIT URBAN HOUSING Florence, Italy | Prof. Ted Brown A small scale investigation of how one might integrate into a rich, historical urban fabric. The 300 to 600 square foot micro-housing units and commercial spaces are spatially organized to operate on the existing Florentine wall in order to invigorate the once prominent architectural artifact. DRAWINGS: Rhinoceros, V-Ray, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Graphite Sketches

CRUDE TO REFINED
AZERBAIJAN DIPLOMATIC ACADEMY ARTS & CULTURE CENTER Baku, Azerbaijan | Prof. Danny Forster A community oriented space designed to draw people in to break the autonomy of the site. The volumetric and spatial organization of the studios, performance space, and galleries are derived from the abstraction of the oil refining process. DRAWINGS: Rhinoceros, V-Ray, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Ink Sketches

LINEAR PROCESSING
SYRACUSE WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITY Syracuse, NY | Prof. Lori Brown An industrial space that would provide a closer and more aestheticized look at the waste management process and narrative. To emphasize the one-directional movement of waste, viewers would follow a linear sequence depicting the functions of the facility. DRAWINGS: Rhinoceros, V-Ray, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Ink Sketches

RIPPLE EFFECT
EAST RIVER MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER New York, NY | Prof. Ryan Macyauski A 100,000 square foot urban space accessed by boat that would provide a setting for various multi-cultural events. Inhabitants would feel as though they were physically immersed in water and were metaphorically experiencing a “ripple effect.” DRAWINGS: Rhinoceros, Maxwell Render, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop MODEL: Lasercut Chipboard, Plexiglass

SPECTACULAR PAVILION PAVILION AS INTERACTIVE & PERFORMATIVE DEVICE
Boston, MA | Prof. Anda French | Design collaboration with Vinh Vo Channeling a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde theatricality, this community space assumes the role of machine by extracting and processing waste water from its immediate context and transforming it into fog. Through its adoption of existing mechanical, plumbing, and structural frameworks, this pavilion both integrates into its surroundings and sets itself apart as a spectacle.
