Illustration (Digital & Analogue)

I often work "old school" when I illustrate, as I love the feel of pen and paint. However, commercially I mostly use digital tools. While Illustrator is an excellent product when I need vector images, my "analogue" background means I prefer PhotoShop and working in raster. Like most creatives, I use PhotoShop constantly, usually for minor corrections (removing or adding elements, changing colours, tones etc). Mostly, its presence is invisible, but it's also a powerful compositing tool. I've been using it since version 1 and have taught it to hundreds of students up to university level, as well as creating bespoke courses for professionals (for example the entire teaching staff of Cleveland College of Art and Design, and the Marvel/2000AD illustrator Jeff Anderson (Transformers, Judge Dredd), who described the four day course I designed and delivered for him as "life changing". Most of all, PhotoShop is just fun! These are a few favourite images.
