In some CO₂ sensing applications, low power is vital. Typically, you may need your system to run on very low power. Or you may be working on a wireless application. Our best-in-class CozIR® sensors can be configured to be the lowest power CO₂ sensor on the market. GSS solid state sensor technology also provides over 15 years sensor lifetime. This makes them ideal for ‘fit and forget’ wireless applications, where you’re measuring low (ambient) levels of CO₂, from 0-1%.
Our new-to-market CozIR®-Blink is our lowest power CO₂ sensor. The Blink mode allows it’s user to define the power consumption based on when the sensor is active. Unlike our other sensors, the CozIR®-Blink can be user configured for absolute power levels .
The CozIR®-LP2 builds on from the original CozIR®-LP technology, with the added benefit of I2C interface. Additionally, this sensor is optimized for power cycling, giving the option to reduce power consumption even further.
The CozIR®-A comes either cased, or uncased – depending on the customers requirements. It has a variety of configurable options including voltage output, temperature and relative humidity sensing, making it suitable across a range of applications. Additionally, the CozIR®-A has the option of extended temperature range. We have seen this sensor being used successfully in HVAC and IAQ Applications.
The CozIR®-LP is ideal for very low power, battery and IoT applications with up to 50 x lower power than typical NDIR CO₂ sensors. It features a small form-factor and can measure up to 1% CO₂ Concentration. Examples of where the CozIR®-LP are being successfully used include ‘smart homes’ and ‘smart cities’, indoor air quality and HVAC systems.
In some CO₂ sensing applications, speed of response is vital. In some cases, you may require readings in rapid succession. Our best-in-class SprintIR® high speed sensors are designed to take ultra-fast, repeated measurements. The sensors cater for levels of CO₂, from 0-100%. This makes them ideal for measuring rapidly changing CO₂ levels. The highly anticipated SprintIR®-R is our fastest CO₂ sensor across all our ranges. It takes 50 readings per second, making it ideal for both healthcare and sport science applications. It has a similar form factor to our SprintIR®-6S, with only 2ml internal sample volume. For customers looking for a high-speed sensor which can also sense temperature and relative humidity, the SprintIR®-W is the obvious choice. It also has other configurable options including diffusion cap or flow through adaptor. We have seen this sensor be successfully used in healthcare and academia applications
The SprintIR®-6S is ideal for measuring rapidly changing CO₂ levels with 20 readings per second. It features a compact design, low sample volume and can measure up to 100% CO₂ Concentration. This sensor has been successfully used in food packaging and healthcare applications.
Some CO₂ sensing applications require exposure to harsh environments, from extremes of pressure and extended temperature. Or it could be a very unstable environment, with sudden shocks and vibration. Our best-in-class ExplorIR® sensors are built to endure changes and extremes in pressure and temperature. You can measure both low and high levels of CO₂, from 0-100%. The sensors are also shock resistant, so they provide accurate readings in unstable environments. And there’s no need to compromise on power consumption. Our rugged ExplorIR® sensors are still low power enough to be battery operated. The ExplorIR®-M features a small footprint and is compact in size. Its solid state and vibration resistant design make it ideal for applications which may require a more robust CO₂ sensor than others on the market. The ExplorIR®-M has seen success in personal safety alarms, aerospace and diving applications. For customers who require configurable options, we recommend the ExplorIR®-W. Choose from voltage output temperature sensing to name a few. As with all sensors in the ExplorIR® range, it is solid state and vibration resistant. Typical applications include transportation, incubators and gas flu analysis.

Our brand new EvaluatIR evaluation kits are designed to assist and provide customers with a convenient way to deploy the GSS CO₂ sensors in order to capture measurements in a battery powered package. Customers can choose from an EvaluatIR-A evaluation kit, or an EvaluatIR-M evaluation kit depending on their requirements. Both kits have the capacity to hold over 170,000 records and due to their low power design, can run for upto 12 months on just 2 x AA batteries*. Both kits offer the user CO₂, temperature, relative humidity and pressure readings with a date and time stamp for their convenience. Applications where the EvaluatIR evaluation kits are already being used include: - Academia - Food Transport - Aerospace - Horticulture - Indoor Air Quality - Confined Spaces *Batteries not included.
The EvaluatIR-A evaluation kit features our CozIR-A CO₂ sensor, along with a USB cable making it easy for the user to capture and download measurements within their environment. It has a measurement range of 0-1% CO₂ concentration. The EvaluatIR-M evaluation kit features our ExplorIR-M CO₂ sensor, along with a USB cable making it easy for the user to capture and download measurements within their environment. It has a measurement range of 0-20% or 0-100% CO₂ concentration.
