URBAN HUBS IN SOUTH MUMBAI
This project involves the adaptive reuse of the derelict textile mills in the city of Mumbai. The design provides a proposal for the use of these vast pieces of land left untouched in a city where land is a scarce commodity.

The access to the departure concourse is through a plaza with seating and landscaping . The space allows passengers to pause, relax and interact with people while waiting for the buses
Seating along the platform is provded in the form of bright coloured benches- in red, blue and yellow adding pops of colour in the otherwise neutral landscape of the terminal.
Seating is provided along planters housing landscaping elements to add a touch of nature to the built landscape- bringing relief to the eye.
This not only makes it easily visible, but also adds a layer of colour to the existing background.
Tensile fabric used as roof covering over passenger seating area- provides a shaded spot for people to wait, while enjoying natural light. This helps bring in an element of human scale in the large terminal building.
Landscaped area near the taxi parkng area. This Plaza connects the terminal building to the adjoining Commercial block via a pedestrian network. Seating in the form of rounded stone benches is provided for people waiting for their mode of interconnecting transport

SECTION THROUGH THE ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK AND AUDITORIUM
The objective of this project was to create a college of design, consisting of three departments- Communtication, Fashion and Industrial design. Shared Facilities for all three fields were also providedhousing common workshop areas and a library The main focus of the design is the central deconstructed axis leading to the blocks, culminating as the OAT and central courtyard

TRANSIT PLAZA DESIGN
The aim of this minor design project was to create a transit hub within the same complex as the bus terminal- to provide a space for people to switch means of transportation. This space also functions as an urban hub where people can relax, socialize and gather

This landscaped pathway is designed for travellers who constanly use thir phones during transition between between modes of transport. The space houses charging points for phones.
Kiosks are provided for sale of food items, snacks, newspapers or books . Folded plate roof structure covers the kiosks.
The central sunken space functions like a stage for people to watch street performances, childrens’ activities and caters to other small cultural gatherings.

Studio
The purpose of this course work was to get an introduction to the process of interior design, learn about various materials, surface finishes, fixtures and lighting. A case study of the co- working space- Commune Coworks- gave us an idea as to how various combinations of materials, textures and surfaces could create various themes and moods. The design project involved- the interior design of two new classrooms and studio spaces in our college, barring any modifications to the exterior facade
Benches with tables provided in the theory classroom Rubber wood
Corridor designed more as an extension of the studio space- with shelves and glass allowing partial visual connection to the studio

SOFT BOARD SURFACE FINISH
Designed using light materials- rubber wood and also have soft board finish - functions as a personal pin up board
This surface finish allows students to pin up their sheets almost anywhere through out the studio space- to display work and to discuss and exchange ideas with professors and peers The sliding - folding doors also have the similar finish, to double up as a pin up boards
The pin up boards are fixed with telescopic channels that allow them to be raised and lowered as desired. Sheet rolls Books
Book shelf covered with tainted glass panes to allow partial visibilty from the corridor This partial visibility creates a sense of interest in the passers -by and also helps break the idea of a tycial corridor sandwiched by solid walls on either side The lighting of the corridor is alo improved

PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL
The design concept involves a community based model- in which the patients have thier private living spaces, with facility for family members to reside. The units are connected with green pockets and informal outdoor spaces to allow interaction, and mimic usual residential layouts. Nature has been integrated into the design- in the form of gardens, coutyards, green walls and tree lined pathways to have a relaxing affect on the minds of the patients.
Abhayavana
The objective of this design studio was to design a hospital for the mentally ill, with a 100 bed In Patient Department, Out- Patient Facility with councelling rooms, clinics and an emergency center. The proposed site lies in Nagenhalli, off Dodaballapur road, Yelahanka.
The private wards consist of a bedroom for two, living and separate wash and toilet areas
Informal gathering space THERAPY CENTER The north facade has been treated with vertical garden detailing. Addition of nature to the facadehas a calming effect on the mind and helps relieve stress Private wards
Semi open space connects each of the units The southern facade caters to children spaces, thus employing coloured glass windows, to stimulate young minds
Colonnaded verandah SOUTHERN FACADE OF THE MAIN OUT- PATIENT DEPARTMENT

NARI GANDHI TROPHY
The brief demanded an analysis of the deeper relationships between architecture and culture, with respect to residential architecture. The site - was a traditional weaver’s residence in the temple town of Melkote, in Karnataka. This quaint region- nestled between hills and fields served as the apt choice- in keeping with the demands of the brief- as it is known for the preservation of its rich culture- reflected in its traditional architecture.
The weavers’ houses were all constructed with vernacular materials- such a smud and bamboo for reinforcements. The Jagali- or front portico to the house The attic to the house- used for storage Reinforced by bamboo posts

Toilet 3D
In the field of arcgitecture, I belive that learning is a continuous and endless process. After spending four years in college, I looked forward to my rpofessional training to increase my dimesntions of thought and understanding about architecture and design. For the first semester of my training, I interned at Ace Group Architects, located in Shantinagar, Bangalore. Ace Group is an architectural and interior consultancy company based in Bangalore since 1984. The firm has designed and executed projects ranging from residential, commercial, industrial, institutional to interiors projects all over India including Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Mysore, Coimbatore, Ooty, Hubli, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Site model of school campus
The work atmosphere at Ace Group is collaberative and informal. The trend of projects during my tenure primarily included school and institution design. My understanding of producing working construction drawings has improved and I’m begining to undertand the nuances of professional life. I hope to contiue this learning process thoughout my career and apply what I have learned and understood in the past.

The design concept took on a centrally white scheme with visual accents provided by various textures, surfaces and materials. The main feature included delicate brass stands to display footware. Arched facade with tinted glass & embroidery contrast the stark white space.
