Why people become overweight?


Let’s Start The common belief is that people who consume a lot of fats and sugars but don’t involve in physical activity to get rid of the excess tend to become overweight. As much as holds true, there are other factors that come into play. What do we say of someone who eats much but never gains weight and someone who hardly eat but can still be considered to be overweight?


Calories Intake Intake of more calories than you let out is a welcome mat for overweight. It simply creeps up on you without your notice and before you know it, you have already out big that favorite clothe of yours. Gavin Manerowski explained.


Physical Activity The importance of exercising cannot be overemphasized. The whole body system is put to work to improve wellness and health. Many people failed to acknowledge this fact and it is not strange that obesity continues to be on the rise in the society today. Technology might be having effects on our daily lives, but then, we have got control over it not the other way round.


Genetics • Some people might not solely be the root cause of their overweight, they are just susceptible to it. The chances of being overweight is high in some people while it is minimal in others. Eating habits, food addictions, and some other habits gotten from parents are ways in which genes might be a factor. ‘Never assumed that you will be overweight for life because your grandparents are. There are things to be done such as cutting down on eating habits or getting involved in exercise’. Manerowski advise. It is important to delve into this factor in order to have an insight on how to attack the overweight problem.


Stress Studies have also shown that people who see eating as a way of dealing with stress, depression, anger, tend to be overweight. The fact of always being on the go, taking junks and irregular meals, running a busy life with no time to take a break and relax, can lead to disruption in the normal food pattern. Therefore, an increase in weight.
