ROW HOUSE 5th SEM The site is located along the east coast road in chennai ,Tamilnadu. Being along the sea coast,the site has a serene atmosphere. ddThe challenge of this project was to provide sea views for all the houses. The design is done in such a way that the residents feel comfortable living along with their recreational facilities.
|SITE PLAN |CONCEPTUAL MODULE Rowhouses are designed in such a way,that each and every unit in the row has to get the beautiful view of the sea. A row of houses is raised on the stilts to get a beautiful sea view. Openings are provided in the roof to allow the ample amount of light into the housing units.

STUDIO APARTMENT 6th SEM This project is a part of architectural design development. The program is to design a studio apartment for two persons in about 30 sq.mts. Studio apartment comprises of living area, kitchen,bedroom,and toilet in a one large single space.

|CORRIDOR VIEW IDEOLOGY The concept of this project is based on the CUBISM THEME. The campus of the architecture college is a wide spread over 8acres of land area. It is well planned by keeping away the educational block away from the main road,entry and parking act as a buffer space. The auditorium labs are placed in a depressed plane. The concept of this centre is to interact with nature and also the interaction between the students.

DESIGN BRIEF: The project was to design a comfortable living space for construction workers which is low cost adaptable to all environmental conditions. Madurai ?
It is one of the most prominent pilgrim centres of india with rich history of culture and heritage. It is the second largest city in Tamilnadu .Being one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world,Madurai developed on the fertile plains of the river Vaigai.It has been a major religious centre for two millenia Today,it is an important educational,industrial and tourism hub, retaining many remanants of its historic origin. Madurai was ruled by many dynasties through the ages.

ROYAL PATH :This path was used by king thirumalai naykar to enter the meenakshi amman temple and hence built these landmarks to identify the path to the temple .These landmarks now face a severe threat due to over congestion caused by encroachment by shops and residents. From the inference of our study, we have taken account of all the prevailing problems our site undergoes and providing the solution through vento morphics Vento-morphics has an influencing effect on the form .When the wind hits the angular edge of the building it diverges and wraps around the building thus forming a heat sink. so it has to form a heat sink in and around the building the concept of vento-morphics is adopted and the form is derived on the basis of the concept. ISSUES: -In India, traditional cities are developed around historic core where the core area is called as inner city. -Meenakshi amman temple dominates the surrounding buildings in Madurai. -This led to the development of Madurai in an organic manner, leaving the once planned streets conjusted and causing further issues. -New industrial and residential areas have sprung up along the main transportation routes in an unplanned manner. -The views and visual relationship between historic town scape and people are destroyed during rapid change of urbanization

TOBACCO SMOKE CONTROL : A DEDICATED SPACE FOR SMOKING HAS BEEN ALLOTTED AS SMOKING AREA. THE BUILDING IS ORIENTED IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE BUFFER SPACES LIKE TOILETS, SERVICE CORE ARE PLACED ON THE EAST AND WEST FACADE AND SHADED. HENCE THE BUILDING DESIGN IS OPTIMIZED TO REDUCE CONVENTIONAL ENERGY DEMAND
