When creating a unique decor concept, we have found that it is best to work with what you’ve got! This is important to the personalities of the shoot, as well as building in textures to layer your day with your style.
Important design needs include: Seeing what kind of lighting your venue has, what accents does the venue have already and just how are you going to modify the space to give it that vibe you’re going for?
Gather up everything you have learned about your venue, brainstorm, and then take that and accentuate it to add your own flare allowing you to tell your story.
As far as design concept, a lot of the décor and “vibe” of this styled shoot was actually centered around the tiered grayscale cake!
We chose a lot of mixed metals to pick up the Amber lighting on site, and then brought in natural and man-made textures to give depth without having a firm color pallet.
Federico and Jose love to dance and sing so we created custom song request cards for their faux guests to fill out, a personalized touch for paperie inspiration.
If you have a story to tell and are not sure how to make your uniqueness come across correctly, then be sure to have your very own Fairy Godmother. We begin with you from the very beginning, get to know you and pitch a custom decor concept just for you then make sure that magic comes to life.

An elite team of wedding professionals came together to spread the message that LOVE WINS!! While photographer, Left Coast By Design, organized the team of creative partners, Fairy Godmother Co. styled and designed the shoot.
These elite vendors are business professionals who see the importance of sharing the LOVE WINS message. The mission of this styled shoot was to not only spread love, but to create an ongoing list in our community of vendors and businesses who see love for what it is, LOVE!
The motivation behind this styled shoot was to shatter the glass ceiling on the stereotypical norms that tend to cloud judgement when selecting your wedding day team.
The design inspiration of this shoot was rooted in deep masculine tones to create an sense of mystery while including soft natural elements such as cotton to juxtapose the concrete, showing the soft and solid sides of love. Utilizing geometric shapes in décor, complete with triangular plates, giving us a new outlook from every angle. Complete with a gold embellished grayscale cake that was there to remind us just how sweet love is.
Jose and Federico show us a different kind of love, a love that has no boundaries and shares its profound message with just one look. Our advantage to creating a styled shoot with a real couple allows for not only the vision to be perfectly executed, but to exemplify just what love is!
With this styled shoot, we are hoping for an outpour of support and dedication to the cause of equality. The message is simple, but yet has an extremely profound outcome. Modern day couples shouldn’t need bravery or permission to share their love with the world- and that is why we wanted to illustrate just how awesome it is when LOVE WINS!
