A Recipe for Queer Domesticity: Start with a home filled to the brim with love. Add two-part amazing human and one-part equally amazing tiny human. Mix in a vegan-muffin baking session, a game of chase, and a half-hour of reading and cuddling on the couch. Let dwell in domestic bliss.

At-home lifestyle family photo sessions are my favourite and when Corinne messaged me to capture her little clan, I couldn’t wait to share an hour with them. Little Olive may have stolen the show with her pro banana peeling, but Rune and Corinne managed to sneak in a few moments alone to grab some shots to commemorate the five years they’ve spent together.

Q: What is the significance of your family photoshoot? Were you memorializing a special occasion?

A: We were celebrating our five year anniversary of partnership and wanted to capture our daily lives/reality as a family.

Q: How and why did you choose the setting of your family photoshoot?

A: We wanted the shoot to be at our home, because we spend significant time there (especially during the winter), and because our house is a safe space for our family.

Q: What was your favorite picture from the day, and why?

A: My favorite picture is one of Rune and Olive cuddling in bed (B&W). It is the most representative of their parent-child relationship, and I can imagine that Olive will cherish it when she is older.
