We met at Detroit PRIDE in 2017 after matching on Tinder during Ferndale pride. Cameron was working at a booth for a local LGBTQ+ nonprofit, Affirmations, and after he was done with his shift we spent the day together with my friends. We watched local artists and saw BenDeLaCreme perform.

WHAT MAKES YOUR RELATIONSHIP SPECIAL?

Our relationship is special in that we have many shared interests. We are two nerds that love video games. We have spent lots of quality time together playing various Pokemon games as well as Animal Crossing New Horizon. Cameron has also helped me get more into comic books and loves to support our local shop - Vault of Midnight.

HOW DID YOU KNOW YOUR PARTNER WAS THE ONE?

I knew that Cameron was the one after spending an evening in downtown Ann Arbor. The streets were crowded, but we had a beautiful evening and when we got back to my apartment we were listening to music and dancing and I could feel in that moment how much I loved him.
