Mayor’s Welcome Welcome to our historic Town Center and the 42nd annual Arts in the Alley Music and Arts Festival, hosted by the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce. The festival takes place in a green-space setting conducive to a family-friendly venue at Park and First streets, the original home of Arts in the Alley. I hope you join us at the dedication of the City’s most prominent public art installation - a landmark sculpture and memorial garden bridging the Town Center to Beulah Park, 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17, at Columbus Street and Beulah Park Way. Arts in the Alley is one of central Ohio’s longest-running music and arts festivals. Bringing tradition back to Broadway, the annual Arts in the Alley parade steps off from Southwest Boulevard, 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, and travels the same route as in years past. Drawing more than 100 juried art vendors from across the Midwest, this regionally recognized festival features live entertainment, multiple judged art shows including the coveted Grove City Easel Award in fine art and live entertainment with the Voice of Grove City vocal competition. Don’t miss the Easel Award winning art pieces from the past 32 years in City Hall. As you enjoy the festival, experience all things happening in the heart of our historic Town Center, with convenient access to charming, local businesses and dining opportunities. Connect with our community’s history, including a special historical Arts in the Alley display, by visiting the Grove City Welcome Center and Museum, 3378 Park St., open Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Congratulations to the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce staff and four decades of countless, dedicated volunteers. Thanks for visiting. Richard L. “Ike” Stage Mayor Past President, Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, 1978

Letter from the Board President of the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce Thank you for joining us for our 42nd Arts In The Alley! We are excited to be ‘back to our roots’ in Down Town Grove City. More than that we are excited to be back together again. 2020 and 2021 have proven to be challenging however we are blessed to all be in a community that stays together. We hope you enjoy the parts of Arts in the Alley that have made it through the decades along with the new offerings such as the Voice of Grove City Vocal Competition. We look forward to seeing you at one of the many remaining events we will be hosting in 2021 including We:Lead Business Forum on October 6th, the Chamber Foundation Fundraiser on October 15, and Boo on Broadway. Thank you and look for us as we enjoy some fried bologna or Chicken and Noodles! Ed Fleming 2021 President
Letter from the Executive Director of the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce
Welcome to the 42nd annual Arts in the Alley Music and Arts Festival! We are thrilled to be able to host Arts in the Alley as in in person event once again and we are equally thrilled that you are here to enjoy the festival. We are in our new footprint which allows us to host more artists, more concession vendors and keeps us close to all our amazing merchants in our beautiful Historic Town Center. Thank you to the dedicated and amazing Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce staff, Marilyn, Heather and the KatBro team, to presenting sponsor, Heartland Bank and the generosity of all of our sponsors, our vendors, our volunteers, our community partners, our member partners and of course to the 2021 Parade Grand Marshal ‘The Grove City Community’! That may seem and odd choice for Grand Marshall but when we discussed who we might recognize as someone who represents the strength of our community, the choice was obvious – it was YOU – the actual community of Grove City! We all know it’s been a tough year we have endured together, and we have indeed been ‘Community Strong’. We hope that you enjoy the festivities, the Parade, the art shows, the vendors, the concessions, the History of Arts in the Alley exhibit at the museum, the Voice of Grove City, Kids Fun Street and every component of this 42 year tradition – because this year we’re ‘Back to Our Roots’.
