Thank you for your support of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and for being here tonight to help us celebrate the 25th annual Taste of the Browns! Over the past 25 years, this event has raised enough money to provide more than 12 million meals to people right here in northeast Ohio. I would like to give special thanks to our sponsors including presenting sponsor NOCO, Medical Mutual, Nestle, Lubrizol, Sanson Produce, KeyBank, and Rockport, who support this event and the Food Bank’s fight against hunger.

An enormous thank you goes to the entire Cleveland Browns organization, who has so generously hosted this event for the past 25 years, as well as the chefs who are giving their time and talent tonight. It is through special events like Taste of the Browns that we are able to raise significant dollars for our hunger relief efforts, as well as raise awareness of the issue of hunger in our community.

With costs of living remaining high and the end of emergency SNAP benefits in the spring, the number of families and seniors of our services has continued to increase. Last year, the Food Bank served nearly 350,000 people in need in the six Northeast Ohio counties we serve and the numbers are growing. So far, this year, we have served nearly 380,000 people and 90,000 new neighbors.

With your support tonight, we can help ease the burden for people right here in our community so they won’t have to choose between food and medicine or food and utilities. Every dollar raised tonight will help the Food Bank provide enough food for three nutritious meals.

On behalf of the Cleveland Browns, welcome to the 25th annual Taste of the Browns fundraiser! We’re happy to host this event at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. The Browns are proud to partner once again with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank as we tackle hunger in our community.

Thanks to your generosity, this event has been able to provide nearly 12 million meals to hungry families in Northeast Ohio over the last 25 years! For every dollar you contribute tonight, the Food Bank can help provide three nutritious meals. We encourage you to bid on Silent Auction items, purchase a wine cork at the Wine Pull, purchase a raffle ticket for the Ultimate Tailgate Bar Cart, or make a tax-deductible donation to support deserving families in our community.

Your participation in tonight’s event is critical to helping provide thousands of individuals and families who are in need in our area with nutritious food, not only as we approach the holiday season, but all year.

We sincerely thank the talented chefs, Cleveland Browns players, corporate partners, events committee and volunteers who are donating their time and talent this evening. Without their efforts, this fundraiser couldn’t be a party with a purpose.
