GCF REACHES $1 BILLION IN GRANTS When generous people give together, the impact of their philanthropy grows. We champion greater giving by thinking really big. How big? Try a billion dollars. That’s how much we’ve awarded in grants to local causes since our inception in 1963. This amazing investment serves as more than a legacy of compassion and commitment. It also serves as a springboard to dream even bigger, making more of a positive impact on the lives of our Tri-state neighbors.

INTRODUCING CINCINNATI’S NEXT GREAT PHILANTHROPIST: YOU Do you want to make a bigger impact with your charitable giving? The Greater Cincinnati Foundation can help you get started with our family philanthropy toolkit available for free at gcfdn.org/toolkit. Our toolkit outlines five steps to make your giving smart and meaningful. With more than 1.5 million nonprofit organizations registered in the U.S., it’s no surprise that your email and snail mail boxes are full of requests for support. We give you the tools you need to explore your family legacy, create your philanthropic mission statement and plan for the future. By the end of the process, you and your family will have a plan that is tailored to your family’s needs and be able to leave a significant legacy that helps the region build and grow.

WE ARE GCF. JOIN US. We are The Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) – among the largest and most effective community foundations in the country. 2016 METRICS 2016 was an another outstanding year for The Greater Cincinnati Foundation. With more than $77 million in gifts, marking 2016 as the second highest year in our 54 year history. The organization continues to grow in terms of grantmaking and total assets, both critical measures as we seek to help support the community’s greatest needs. GCF is also proud of the diversified sources of both gifts and grants. We exist to support the philanthropy of our many donors, past and present, and also to support the efforts of hundreds of nonprofit partners. With the growth of existing funds, as well as new funds, GCF is proud to partner with so many generous individuals, families and businesses.
