Dearest members: It may only be September but the GAIG/USDF Region 3 dressage championships are like a speeding train headed right for us! The entries are in and we are rounding up all the players who want to be involved but deadlines are looming. Everyone who wants to be in the program needs to register by September 23rd. We will accept sponsorships and vendors after that. It’s going to be a great weekend of fun and good riding! Join us for this event October 8-10 at the Georgia Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia. Region 3 Championship classes will be held Friday through Sunday, featuring freestyle championships on Saturday and Sunday. Winners are eligible to compete at the National Dressage Finals at the Kentucky Horse Park in November. The Atlanta National Fall Dressage open show is open to all competitors. GDCTA member-competitors participating in this show can earn double scores toward the 2022 GDCTA year-end awards (make sure you are signed up for the awards program here: https://gdcta.wildapricot.org/directory) NEW AWARD Futral Freestyle Champion - In memory of Region 3 dressage rider, Michelle Futral, an embroidered cooler, high point championship neck sash and $500 in prize money will be awarded to the highest scoring FEI musical freestyle performed by an AA on Saturday. There will be a Vendor Village, featuring horse supplies, boutiques, etc. Plus there is a can't-miss-it Art Exhibit and Sale in the Legacy Room. Ringside reserved seating is available for the duration of event.
