2018 NSRA FELLOW PAGES It's that time of year for you to put your name and phone number in "the book" so that should a fellow enthusiast be in your neighborhood and need assistance, he or she will have someone to call they know will come to their aid. That's the way the NSRA FELLOW PAGES work, and that's why it works so well... it's a specialty vehicle enthusiast helping another enthusiast, and that's a proven, unbeatable formula. As great as the FELLOW PAGES concept is, however it only works because so many of you, the caring NSRA members, make it work. If it wasn't for all of you that offer to have your names and phone numbers published in a handy, carry-along FELLOW PAGES, this wouldn't be the outstanding program it has become. So, as we do each January, we are reminding everyone once again that it's time so send in the information needed to make 2018 another year when specialty car owners everywhere are assured that help is as close as the nearest telephone. HORSEPOWER by the River Car Show (NOT) to return in 2018! After a record setting year we have decided to bring the HORSEPOWER by the River Car Show & Swap meet to a close! This decision wasn't easy but, as many of you know putting on a car show isn't just a one day event! It takes long hours of preparation and promotion. What started from a love of cars and a dream of putting on a unique custom car event has become many sleepless nights and loss of many friends! When something stops being fun and enjoyable then it's time to move on ! Michelle Cook and I can't say Thank You enough to everyone that has been a part of the show through the years, we are eternally grateful! Thank you to the Sponsors, Staff, Participants, Vendors and Spectators , you helped make the show the success it became ! We are looking forward to the next chapter in our lives and we will always cherish the memories that were made at the shows!! Once again we want to say Thank You to everyone that was a part of the show and we wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! Shawn & Michelle Cook (MEDIA RELEASE) Editors Note: We are sorry to see this show end, but understand and support Shawn & Michelle’s decision. We were proud to be a sponsor of this event.

They did it again at the 2017 Chicago World of Wheels show. They knocked it out of the park...WAY out of the park!
This show is nothing short of outstanding in all aspects. Size...700 plus cars, truck and motorcycles on display. ISCA Championship Finale...the BEST OF THE BEST in the ISCA Indoor Show competition in one place, going for the BIG AWARD...GRAND CHAMPION. Tin City, Model Masters Show, Pedal Car Challenge, Cycle-Rama, Low Riders and more going on within the show itself.
McDonald House. The Commemorative Brushmaster Tin Signs for the charity auction go fast each year, helping raise even more money for RMH. The true stars of this event are all those beautiful hot rods, muscle cars, race cars, restored and original vehicles. Looking across the show floor and it is a rainbow of color, chrome and horsepower in may shapes, sizes and forms.
The Chicago Brushmasters held their 10th Annual Charity Auction over the 3 days with all kinds of killer work by pin strippers from across the USA. ALL money raised off each donated piece of artwork, goes directly to the Chicago Ronald
While the ISCA Grand Finale entries are getting judged, the rest of the show 12
entries are getting judged also. The ISCA judging staff is kept busy all weekend long, going over all the entries in the show. We don’t envy their job‌.some very hard choices have to be made when handing out the awards on Sunday evening. At the same time the ISCA judges are looking over the entries, the Chicago World of Wheels judging staff are doing the same thing. They are responsible for the awards that are Unique to the Chicago World of Wheels show. The Legend Cup award was created in 2007, and has been presented every year since then to a vehicle being shown at the Chicago World of Wheels Show for the first time. The heart of this award is about style and design, and to recognize those who can capture and combine that style with quality and craftsmanship. The Legend Cup is based on the following criteria: style and design, workmanship, degree of difficulty, engineering, presentation, theme and detail. The Legend Cup winner is chosen from the Select Six, which are chosen from the Top Twenty at the show. The Legend Cup winner is announced at the Sunday award presentat13
-tion, and receives the beautiful Legend Cup and also is presented with a check for $5,000. Additionally a rendering of the winning vehicle is created by artist Larry Williams and is featured on World of Wheels and V.I.P. promotional materials for the following year . The Legend Cup is presented by Clean Tools, maker of The Absorber.
For the first time ever...anywhere‌ both the 2017 Detroit Autorama RIDLER award winner and the Grand National Roadster Show, America’s Most Beautiful Roadster winner were in competition against each other, along with 4 other outstanding entries for the 2017 Legend Cup.
The Mulholland Roadst
The Legend cup has grown from humble beginnings to one of the most coveted awards within the custom car world. In our opinion, and voiced by many others we talked to, we like the fact that the minimum requirements in place lets this level of competition take place. No where else in the USA does this take place...not Detroit...not at the GNRS AMBR show...not anywhere but Chicago. The reward for all 14
of us car junkies and gearheads, is we get to see the best of the best of the best in one place, at one show! The World of Wheels show was again held at the Donald P Stephens Convention Center just outside of Chicago in Rosemont IL. The move here some years back has made it easier for show participants and spectators too, two BIG pluses in our opinion.
ter—Legend Cup Winner for 2017
Congratulations to Show Director Harry Willet, his wife and right hand for the show Cheryl, and the Chicago World of Wheels staff for another enjoyable and excellent show! Take a cruise thru the show with us, as we show you just a small portion of the show in this feature. Make your plans now for the 2018 edition of this great show, taking place on March 9-11, 2018. We’ll see you there 15
