Having said that, I am looking forward to some driving fun this week myself, as I head to the NHRA Hot

Hot rods, muscle cars, cool cruisers, trick trucks….what do they all have in common? They are meant to be driven. At least that’s the way we feel around here. Our garage is not a museum, we don’t charge you to come look at our hot rod and we bet you are the same way.

JUNE 2018 JUNE 15-16: LEBANON MO: LEBANON ROUTE 66 FESTIVAL: The 2018 Lebanon Route 66 Festival Parade on Saturday, June 16 will give you an opportunity to drive your antique, classic or custom vehicle down Route 66 past iconic Route 66 landmarks like the Munger Moss Motel, Wrinks Market, Speaker’s Mobil and Lenz Manor! Lineup for the parade will start at 9 a.m. on Wyota Drive in the Lebanon Industrial Park, east of the Munger Moss on Route 66. The parade will roll at 10 a.m., following the route of Route 66 west to Boswell Park where cars will be directed into the cul de sac and other parking areas for a cruise-in. Although all antique, classic and custom cars are welcome at the cruise-in, those participating in the parade will be given priority positions for parking. Non-participants in the parade may line up on Owen Drive next to Scott Chase State Farm Insurance until it’s their turn to enter the park. A cruise-in also will be held on the festival’s opening night, Friday, June 15, starting at 4 p.m. at the Munger Moss Motel. There is no fee for cars to

After settling in Nashville, Michael decided to open a hot rod shop. In between bad deals, he was working on and building cool cars. Street Rods by Michael was officially opened in 1990.

Michael grew up in the great state of Oregon. While growing up, he discovered drums and that he liked playing them. He plays them very well as he has toured with and played with some of the big name bands and artists out there. That music eventually brought Michael to Nashville TN.

Over time, the shop location in Nashville became too small for the amount of work that was coming in the door and the decision was made to expand and grow Street Rods by Michael. Next stop….Shelbyville TN. Over the next 27 plus years, a lot of parts and cars have gone thru the SRBM shop. Multiple NSRA Give away cars have been built by SRBM. ISCA class winners have been put together and an AMBR contender also! The resume speaks for itself. 48

To celebrate 27 plus years of Street Rods by Michael, Michael and his wife Rose held an open house event. Gearheads from the middle Tennessee and Mid-South Region came out to enjoy a day of pure hot rod fun.
