Management changes reflect expansion for W.Howard Group
W.Howard Group has implemented a significant business reorganisation as part of its ongoing growth and expansion plans.
Established in 1958 and now in its 65th year, the W.Howard Group is always looking to evolve and provide the best possible experience to its customers, suppliers, employees and shareholders.
Among the many talented and committed people who work at W.Howard, the Group has a particularly strong and dynamic board of directors. Recent changes have been made among the board to reflect their particular skills and to make the best use of their talents.
The following changes are effective from 1 March 2023:
• Stuart Murray extends his role of Group Finance Director, with additional and specific responsibility for business growth and acquisition.
• Simon Fleet assumes the role of Managing Director (Polyco), retaining his responsibilities for group UK commercial strategy.
• Phil Tissington assumes the role of Managing Director (W.Howard UK), retaining his responsibilities for group UK operations strategy.
• Paul McKenna continues in his role as Managing Director (W.Howard Kildare).
• Graham Williams assumes the role of Group Chief Operating Officer, with specific responsibility for HR and wellbeing.
• Jonathan Grant remains as
Group Chief Executive.

Accsys appoints new Group Manufacturing and Projects Director
Stephen Cox joins Accsys in the newly created role of Group Manufacturing and Projects Director. The role will oversee Accsys’ global manufacturing sites and projects and drive operational efficiencies
Accsys, the global leader in wood technology, today announced that Stephen Cox has joined the company as Group Manufacturing and Projects Director. The new role supports and reinforces Accsys’ global expansion plans as well as the company’s commitment to, and drive for, achieving operational and project excellence.
Stephen joins Accsys from Coats PLC, a market leader in the manufacture and supply of highquality sewing thread and zippers for use, amongst others, in the ready-made garment and footwear industries. Coming from a global company with presence in over 100 countries and manufacturing operations in over 40, Stephen is highly experienced in overseeing multi-national operations and sites.
Stephen joined Coats in 2000 spending time working in countries such as Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and India, rising to the position of Group Manufacturing Director. He brings a wealth of experience in manufacturing transformation, strategy and ramp-up.
Rob Harris, CEO, Accsys commented: “This newly created role is central to our ambitious growth plans to expand capacity and improve our operational offering to meet the significant market demand for our products. We have recently expanded our Arnhem, NL site, added a new Accoya Color® production facility in Wales and, this time next year, we plan to bring our first USA manufacturing site online. Stephen’s expertise and experience will be major assets in helping us support these sites, delight our customers and achieve our goals over the coming 12 months and beyond.”
